Can this team have NFL average health?

Is MLF is an upper tier offensive game planner / caller?

Setting aside it will be the same coordinator, can the D be below average but not terrible?

if the answers to all three of the above is yes, then this will an interesting, competitive team that wins 6-8 games.
First and third questions are huge, especially because we let 1075 snaps walk out the door between Tomlinson and Campbell.

It’s worth interrogating whether we already had an upper tier OC in Petzing, but he was stymied by Kyler and then RB and OL injuries.

It’s hard to be a 4-win team in the NFL without internal sabotage or some exogenous disaster. I don’t think the sabotage is as deep as it was in 2023; the roster is still thin enough that it’s some pretty clear fail points.

JB has started more than 10 times in a season 4 times out of this 10 year career with 16 total wins in those 4 season for 4 wins a season. His best was 7 wins when he took over for Andrew Luck in 2019 when he abruptly retired. Luck won 10 games with the same roster on offense the previous year. He also set a career high for INTs and will be 35 during the season. If JB is starts most of the season, we are not going to be good.

If Jacoby starts most of the season I think it would actually be a sign that we are not terrible... on offense at least.

If he starts like... only 4 or 5 games, I would imagine things had gone really bad, really fast.

I get the urge to hand Beck the keys and just see what he can do, but what do you do if he's impossibly bad? What if he's the next Ryan Lindley? You can't leave him out there, you're in a spot where you can't even evaluate your own guys.

Wait until we actually have nothing to lose (which I fully expect to come about by week 10 or 12). If playing him is dumping gasoline on a fire then go back to Minch or Jacoby.

This is correct. The team will tell the coaching staff whether they believe in Beck. If they don’t, you can’t run him out there to sink it swim. The Cards will have 50 free agents next year (pending extensions). The Cards have to give him the chance to show their stuff.

Really? Now you're just bumping uglies with me...that's as clean as could make it without the F word.
Is that a word you use daily in normal conversation...I don't think so. You're just showing off for the less literate...Like me. I am impressed though...:)
Like a flea flicker it’s in the playbook but rarely used

This guy thinks he was a round 1 QB thanks to the Colts. He really a weaker version of Murray. No one needs a run first QB.

brissett will show up to collect that $5 million dollar check - if he doesn't no big deal - we move on from 1-11 big whoop - im with monti on this one
My issue with this is that it isn't hard to pay him a small increase OR just cut him because he hasn't earned an increase. Sitting in the middle like Monti is makes him/the org look even more like clowns. Instead of building a positive vibe around a new HC, new RB, and fresh outlook, you are talking about a player of Brissett's level holding out.

Basically posting online that you are being stood up on a date by a midwest 4 because you want to split the check at Chili's instead of paying for her.

Agree.
But the kid does have some serious arm talent.
If he could ever coagulate that sauce between his ears and focus on being an actual quarterback he could be good....... get him to emulate Moon rather than Vick
He won't. But there is enough electricity there that somebody will grant him one more opportunity
