So, I have been struggling with the Haason Reddick decision and I am curious what you all think. Let's assume he is going to command more than 10 mil per year which would be out of the range the Cardinals would just easily accept IMO. This also considers the use of the franchise or transition tag. So, I feel I have identified some equally costly FAs and a would like to know where you all would rank them in terms of personal priority.

Rank these FAs in order of which you would prefer to give 10+ mil to.

WR - Allen Robinson
WR - Juju Smith-Schuster
WR - Curtis Samuel
OG - Joe Thuney
OG - Brandon Scherff
C - Corey Linsley
DL - JJ Watt
DL - Leonard Williams
EDGE - Haason Reddick
EDGE - Leonard Floyd
EDGE - Bud Dupree (coming off ACL injury)
CB - William Jackson III
CB - Ronald Darby
CB - Patrick Peterson

This isn't easy because $10m+ is a big window.

I put Samuel top because I think he's a better scheme fit than the others. But I wouldn't pay him WR1 money like Robinson. If you were to say which of the 2 would you take at $17m per year I'd say Robinson but I'd take Samuel at $11m over him.

Also Scherff is a better player than Jackson III but as CB looks desperate at the moment I put Jackson higher. Same reason P2 is 5th.

WR - Curtis Samuel
WR - Allen Robinson
CB - William Jackson III
OG - Brandon Scherff
CB - Patrick Peterson
C - Corey Linsley
DL - JJ Watt
OG - Joe Thuney
WR - Juju Smith-Schuster
DL - Leonard Williams
EDGE - Haason Reddick
EDGE - Bud Dupree (coming off ACL injury)
CB - Ronald Darby
EDGE - Leonard Floyd

Reddick would be near the bottom of the list.

*I don't think he'll be available.
**I don't think he will be available, and if I can get Patrick Peterson cheaper than him on a shorter deal, I'm keeping PP21.
***I don't think he'll be available.
****I want him on our team and think he's an ideal choice as our #2, but I'm not paying $10+ million per.
*****I love the guy, but can't justify paying this price tag when our team just isn't ready to compete for a title. I need a guy who is going to give us more than 1-3 years as our big signing.

So, as you can see, Reddick comes in very low in my ranks at the proposed price tag. Darby only edges him out on account of our bare cupboard at CB. Almost every other guy on this list has a better resume.

I'm too lazy to rank, but the bold are the guys I'd consider giving $10mil/year to.

I don't think Curtis Samuel even belongs on the list. Until this past season when Rhule and his staff figured out how to use Samuel he was at best a #3 receiver. Even in 2020, his number and production were #2 numbers. I just don't see how you consider paying $10 million for a number two WR. Go get Marvin Jones and get better production and a WR who can stretch the field and probably at a lower cost than Samuel.

Switch Reddick with Leonard & Curtis with JuJu & this would be my exact order.

Did you guys even try to research the QBs he caught passes from
Yea... in 17 and 18 he had one of your favs Cam Newton. In 20 Teddy Bridgewater who is easily an NFL caliber QB. 2019 is the only really iffy season at QB.

Well by going by what you feel about Cam, he was catching passes from an overrated sub-par QB in ‘17 & ‘18

Teddy Bridgewater who is easily a mediocre caliber QB, yea

Curtis Samuel would be a great addition, didn't show yet his potential, still 24, and he is the dynamic player who can get some yards after the catch
He won't ask too much, so I would sign him for 10/year

Maybe instead of tagging Reddick they prefer using 11 mil for Fitzgerald, who is the face of the franchise
Better get into the perspective of things that winning is secondary for this regime

dynamic players don’t average 11.3 yards per catch in their first three years. Lol

It is interesting that people most are ranking Linsley at 5 or lower. I would have thought he would have ranked higher.

Most everyone has Scherff at or near the top.

I appear to like Watt more than most.

Allen Robinson would be very interesting across from Hopkins.

You have to factor Samuel's age when considering him.

OVERALL CONCLUSION

Most have several other players they would prefer to spend 10+ mil on than Reddick which is kinda what I thought. It really puts the tag option into perspective as well as the idea of paying him a large contract.

adding a slow WR like Juju who struggles to create separation to our already slow WR core who struggles to create separation makes little sense

wild seeing him above Reddick on these lists
