#Vikings assistant GM George Paton is, in fact, expected to interview for the vacant #Browns GM job, source said. This is significant, as he hasn’t always interviewed after receiving requests. He’s close with new coach Kevin Stefanski and works alongside GM Rick Spielman in MIN.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden has fired respected defensive line coach Brenston Buckner and is expected to replace him with Rod Marinelli. Under Buckner, the Raiders improved from 13 sacks in 2018 to 32 this year, and from 30th against the run to 8th.

The #Cowboys and new coach Mike McCarthy recently interviewed RB coach Skip Peete for their vacant RB coach job, source said. He held that position in Dallas from 2007-12 and they’ve discussed a return. Stan Drayton from #Texas is believed to be returning to UT.

The #Steelers have hired Matt Canada as their QB coach. Several NFL Clubs have consulted Canada over the past year or so, including this season, about incorporating his offensive concepts. Pittsburgh decides to just hire the former #LSU and Maryland OC.

Another interesting hire for Brian Flores from the college ranks: The #Dolphins are hiring #Michigan LBs coach Anthony Campanile for a position coach job on the defense, source said. He was Boston College’s co-DC in 2018.

The #Jaguars have interviewed former #Giants head coach Ben McAdoo for their vacant offensive coordinator job, sources say. In his last two years as OC with NYG, he had Top 10 offenses — ranked 6th in scoring in 2015. He also led the Giants to the playoffs in 2016.

#Chiefs QB coach Mike Kafka will stick on Andy Reid’s coaching staff in 2020, sources say. The #Eagles had interest in Kafka as an OC candidate but they’re aware Reid isn’t letting him go. No official request so he technically wasn’t blocked. Possible he gets a new title in KC.

I’m told #Broncos Mike Sullivan, who handles their contracts and cap, will not be returning to the team as his contract expires. I’d expect the role to be filled rather quickly. Team has a ton of cap space and will look to be active this offseason in free agency.
