His songs were about the only 80s music I could stomach plus he had a hot wife. RIP Ric

The very first concert I went to was The Cars. They played at the Springfield Armory in Illinois. It was sorta like a basketball gym with an upper balcony/walkway. They were pretty awesome. Their first two albums are my favs.

Yeah, I liked the first 2 but I was also fond of Heartbeat City. But I never saw them in concert.

You know, I never realized how many Cars songs I love until he passed and I revisited their catalog.

You might think, is one of my fav 80's songs.

The loss of Benjamin Orr (who died much earlier) was sad as well. He sang "Drive."

Both were terrible losses.
