Another one of my musical heroes passes. It's been a rough year for that... Gordon Lightfoot, Jimmy Buffett.

The Pogues are one of the greatest bands ever, both in terms of musicianship and quality of their output. That is in no small part thanks to Shane MacGowan's brilliant songwriting. RIP Shane.

His one hits me hard. The Pogues are one of my all time favorite bands. I'm still not over never getting to see them live. I missed the reunion show that they did back in 2009. I didn't know they were coming to Tempe and didn't find out about it until a few days after it.
