The Arizona Cardinals have placed rookie defensive lineman Kaleb Proctor (knee, meniscus) on injured reserve.

The Cards have signed DL Coziah Izzard
@PHNX_Cardinals
Is that out for the year injured reserve or the minimum 4 week injured reserve?

Jacoby Brissett has answered the first big question of Cardinals training camp.

NFL Media reports that Brissett reported to camp along with the rest of the team’s veterans on Wednesday. On Thursday, there should be more information about whether the quarterback just did that so he won’t be fined.

Out for the year
Is there a rule that a player placed on IR before TC starts or the regular season is automatically out for the season?

I know MLF said he is probably out for the year but the injury was reported as a torn meniscus. My understanding is that it does take a long time to heal because there isn't much to any blood flow to the meniscus, it's basically a pad. Cheese and or Ouchie can confirm because of their dr. dad.

He would be on PUP, if they were bringing him back. IR before the season equals out for year. I think the bring back IR only applies to players on active roster day 1. That's why you'll see some fringe vets waived at final cuts, then brought back day 1, after other guys go on IR.

I thought PUP has to go to IR if they know the player won't be back in 4 weeks. I admit that my recollection could be wrong. So many rules, probably more than any other sport.

Another DL draft pick out for the season right at the start of camp.

What is in the water out at camp?
Maybe water is the answer. Lots of new players come from cooler regions of the country. It's very easy to become dehydrated and not realize it. When you get dehydrated you first get a little lightheaded, then start feeling a little goofy. Maybe injuries are happening during goofy time when the brain is in la la land.

Disclaimer: I'm not doctor but I've seen one on TV.

ESPN projecting ARZ to keep all four RBs on the 53:
1. Jeremiyah Love
2. Tyler Allgeier
3. James Conner
4. Trey Benson

Seems wild to tie up this much capital at the position. James Conner or Trey Benson to a RB-needy team, in exchange for a R7 pick, makes sense. Especially since Conner and Benson don't play special teams.
