I would have not known either but with Budda confirming it is low there is really nowhere for the Cards to hide now.
Just a terrible situation that the FO puts this team in.
Announce Brissett as the starter after stepping on their manhood trying to sign Willis and Jimmy G.
Don't tell Brissett the plan that he will be the starter before leaking it.
Then when the dude wants starter money the team acts all shocked and commences to refuse to get something done.
Meanwhile we have a new coach and staff coming in and JBrissett has said he has had no comms with the guy and doesn't show up to practices.

I think the look of stupidity is worse than the delayed acclimation of Brissett into the offense. I don't really doubt that MLF and Brissett can figure out the offense if they don't get together before training camp. I do have doubts that the front office will get this done by TC because they consistently find new ways to look stupid.

Bidwill will lose more than 15 million in fan revenue if Brisset walks and we start the Stasch or Beck
The coach must really like Beck's potential if they don't pay Brissett by training camp. Not paying Brissett will affect the entire team to where you will need to trade him. If Minshew is starter, he will ask for a raise too so it's Beck or pay up and we all know Beck will start at some point anyways.
Or Bidwill is a cheap ass and we are a crap organization who deserve zero financial support from it's fans until this crap hole of a family is gone.

Unfortunately, this tweet provides very little information. Is Brissett only asking for $15M for this year or does he want $15M guaranteed for the next three years. Everything I have read has said the issue is guaranteed money in year three of the contract.

I think the exact opposite.
If Beck was the dude they would just cut Brissett because there would be zero need for him.
I go back to the Seahawks and Russell Wilson as a rookie. They started the dude out the gate even though they gave millions that off season to a journeyman QB to start.

You know you’re asking this in bad faith and exact numbers are not available. But what makes more sense:
An attributed report by a member of the local media in line with the statement of a player who personally knows the principles?
Or…
An unattributed statement that could be an AI hallucination or the fantasy of a message board poster or an AI hallucination based on the message board poster’s fantasy?
Only one set of “numbers” are flying about and they’re imminently reasonable.
If Brissett had an agent, he might have a deal by now...

Seattle had the prior year starter returning, a veteran journeyman that the players respected in Jackson. They made the trade and contract with Flynn. They drafted Wilson.
Wilson showed enough in rookie camp to get into the competition.
However, it was a competition and it went all camp. A lot of hawks fans were frustrated that Jackson was still getting equal reps because we already knew what he was and was not.
By the time person started, it was Flynn vs Wilson
Flynn played the first half of game 1, Russ the 2nd half. Same with game 2.
Russ looked the better player so he started game 3 at Arrowhead - had a dynamic first half, came out and continued playing well in the 3rd. Jackson closed it out in the 4th, competition over.
Outside looking in, I have no idea why the cards would name brissett the starter
He hasn't earned it. He's shown to not be good enough to be a starter and is a pretty basic be backup.
Tough vet? sure. Guys like him? Yep. Can try to execute a gameplan? Ok.
He's just not a good enough QB though and didn't actually win anything.
Zero reason to commit to him, especially as early as they did.
I can see him wanting a bump and maybe in the short term it makes sense because he's a "starter"
I can see the cards but wanting to commit that much to him because they have to also know he kind of stinks and no team in the league would sign him today to starter money - even low end starter money.
I think the biggest rub and the cleanest path forward would be to up and guarantees and throw some escalators in there as well - which isn't uncommon

Being obsessed with it and bringing it up over and over is weird. Just because you don’t have a registered agent doesn’t mean you don’t have people who can deal with this stuff.
People just doing whatever they can to let Monti off the hook.
That was me and I said $30 million for just this coming season which would make him the 16th highest paid on average QB. $34M per year is the average salary for a starting QB. JB will make less next year than Ty Simpson ad David Mills.
If Monti and MB are balking at $15 million, then gross.
