Strevelor definitely falls into "Those who can't"..... Remains to be seen if he ever becomes a valuable "Teacher" or not...
As far as proper footwork and such he should know it well as I imagine he has had long hours of his life with coaches screaming it at him

I admit I was not that high on the guy until I really understood his story, I would like to know if his arm is back to 100 percent yet if it is, with a great camp, I'd just start him first game. I realize we probably will wait but in my opinion that is a mistake, look you need every game to evaluate him before next years draft, I don't want to see him start 6 games and call that enough to know anything.

That's common sense talking...and I agree. But as a fan, I want to see an attempt to come out and try to win first before Coach Frankenstein throws in his experimental creation just to see what happens.

I don't want him to start until he is ready. It may be six games, 12 games or two years. If you look at the record of rookie QBs it is not good.

I’m not really worried about the record. I don’t think the best version of Rookie Carson Back can win more than 2/17 games.
But I don’t think the best version of Carson Back can win 4/17 games.

2021 - Prove It
The best argument for Carson Beck is Brock Purdy, and that was a prove it case as well. I didn't think Brock Purdy had any special or unique talent but he has been able to figure it out so maybe Beck can. We will see.
He was in the right spot with the right staff to make it work
Their preparations helped to succeed
But in the end it's all about game speed and how fast a QB can figure it all out

Beck spent 6 years in college and is what 25 now and not getting any younger. If he shows he can play at all in the preseason, he should start game one in my opinion. I want him to be as successful as possible and for the Cardinals to win games, but we need to know if he is worthy of being a starter. If not, the Cards will be in better shape to draft one next year.

Here's my best-case scenario. Start Brissett, if it's close going into the 4th quarter stick with JB. If there's no chance give Beck the quarter. The defense may or may not be playing soft, but he'll get some work early and then when we're completely eliminated, give him the start

The team will have a better idea. I don’t want to watch 10 games (or whatever) of Clayton Tune-caliber football so we can “find out.”

No it is not. What is silly is expecting a a third round rookie QB to be a NFL starting QB.
