I’m excited to see Kyler play for a different franchise. If he wins a playoff game, no doubt it’s gonna sting, but I’m not going to cut myself or call seek a therapist to help me get past the loss.

Here’s the only thing I can think about:

CARDINAL FRANCHISE WINNING % BY DECADE:

60’s: .514
70’s: .493
80’s: .414
90’s: .363
00’s: .388
10’s: .475
20’s: .376

Outside of BA (who we shoved out the door) this franchise has been straight ish the whole time they’ve been in AZ. My Son has a very good chance to kick on Saturdays, and there’s always a chance he good be lucky enough to do it on Sundays. I’ll just say I don’t want him coming back home, I’d rather go see him.
I'm guessing as bad as it's been, after this year Monti will have the worst winning % of any Cards GM.

Maybe ever(with GMs over multiple years).
That's pretty incredible if it's the case.

I'm just going by memory and not looking it up. And assuming another 2-4 win season.

Burrow has been injured more than K1 and has done less with more.

He would have been killed here.

Murray has missed more games than Burrow.

Burrow has 5 playoff wins, Murray quit at halftime of his 1 playoff appearance.

But yes, it's true, Burrow doesn't play for the Cardinals... Burrow plays for a franchise that hadn't won a playoff game in 30 years before he got there.

You shouldn't have gone back to this well. No, he hasn't--see the below post. How has K1 done less with more? Burrow took his team to the SB behind a line arguably worse than we have now. He was getting killed, and yet still managed to get them there. And win other playoff games. Burrow is several tiers above K1 in the QB rankings, and that isn't in any way arguable.

I looked up all gm’s since they’ve been in AZ:

Larry Wilson .383
Buddy Ryan .375
Bob Ferguson .366
Rod Graves .398
Steve Keim .500
Monte O .294

I don't think people really understand this and thank you for doing to work to find it. Monti is awful and that ineptitude has very little to do with Kyler even though people like to bring him up when discussing LOssenfort.

Sad this thread has gained more traffic than about our current players.
Well, like most threads it has strayed a bit off the titled topic, ie- the historical failure this franchise has been/MO/other GMs/etc. For me I’m not worried about how well KM does/doesnt do post Cardinals, it just more the blunders in all player personnel matters and how very badly this organization has sucked at it. Keim to BA reminds me a lot of Bill Belichick to TB. Ironic how Keim and Bill’s careers nosedived without BA and TB, and then BA and TB went on to win a SB.

MO better have a banger of a year (like .500) or he will go down as the worst GM in AZ Cardinals history…

Kyler will always be a part of our history and future conversations. In the past two decades, we are used to our QB's retiring or being complete failures that we hardly remember them (or more specifically block them out).

The breakup is fresh and the next season hasn't started. Heck, we don't even know our starting QB yet. I'd say it's natural as anything else for the time being.

You think Brissett is just posturing? I’ve got to believe he’s the guy opening day but with this team who knows.
I think a deal will get done by camp. Nothings happening right now because everyone is on vacation.

They mentioned obliquely on Cards Underground that Beck and Minshew were clearly inferior options to Brissett based on what they saw through offseason work.

One thing that Shanahan/McVay guys love is quarterbacks who will just execute the offense. Kirk Cousins is their dream. I think that Brissett can be like 85% of peak Kirk Cousins.

We do but people don’t want to acknowledge it.

Sure, but it's certainly not very exciting either way. I suppose until it's written in stone and all ready to go, we are sitting limbo with not much to talk about.
