Nobody was bullying the Pistons but they were still frauds cause they had a poorly built team for 2026 basketball. Right now the Suns have below average shooting and playmaking. There are still trades to be made.
idk - roster if full but ish has shown most anything is possible

Ott is going to have to put this team together in a way that makes sense. The biggest question is whether Booker and Green are a fit together.
It just depends on whether Ott can sell being the leader of the second squad and a closer if he's hot to Green <-- which is 100% what I think Ott should do.

The Suns don't have a bad roster. Their ceiling is still pretty low, but their floor is definitely the play in, moreso than last season even. Pending injury, I don't see this team not making the playoffs. I just don't see them advancing all that much.
I think this is exactly where the team is. very mid floor, extremely low ceiling. A play-in team.

Unless I missed something, these are the Suns players on two-way contracts: Pat Spencer, CJ Huntley and Koby Brea.

I also question the idea that "no one will be bullying us". Book has routinely gotten bullied by his counterparts/best SGs in the West like Shai/Ant, who are more athletic and longer SGs he goes. And Bridges beating up women doesn't make him tough on the court. It just makes him trash off it.

also, I don't think putting together 2/3s of a previously pathetic Charlotte front-line with Mr. Glass and Mr. Domestic Abuse is gonna have many teams in the West quaking in their boots.

So we will find out if it's better or worse to have Green for a whole season. That's a factor, the low number of games he played for us. Playing more will either equal more wins, if you are in the camp that we didn't really get to see him and Booker get used to each other. If you believe advanced analytics, maybe more Green is not good. I think it's fifty/fifty that Green could influence positive or negative our win total.

No, I think they are better than that.

I think we are 6,7,8 seed area.

Minnesota got worse IMO. I have a feeling Houston gets worse, even though I know they have the same team + Van Vleet - but I just think KD is toxic enough they get worse.
Denver - not sure, but I feel like they are trending in the wrong direction.

Basically I see it like this now but really I could see almost any rankings after the top 2
1. OKC
2. Spurs
3. Denver
4. Utah
5. Houston
6. Suns
7. Lakers
8. Portland
9. Minnesota
10. GS or Dallas

Brea should take Grayson's spot on the roster and get some spot minutes. I think he will develop, and he is already a pretty good 3 point shooter.

Brea played 84 minutes last year. He didn't earn more playing time in any of those. He looked shaky in the G-League also. He was a 2nd round pick and a long shot to make the main squad, let alone the rotation. Gifting him minutes helps no one.

Sounds like the Suns youngsters are growing. I can't ever remember Fleming being listed at 190 though.

Man Man was 7'2" in most scouting reports last year. Maybe he's grown a little without shoes or something but I don't think he added an inch.

You aleast underrate the Lakers and are always proven wrong. That team is definitely better than us. I also think Ant and Co are still better than us.

But even if we’re as good as one of them, that makes us a 7 seed… which is now a play-in team.

I think the Lakers off season has been a complete disaster. They have no depth, a lot of guys who are glued to the floor, their new guys are dudes who have spent their careers either often injured or winning 25 games a year (or both).

Kessler is a good player but he's missed a ton of time, has only played on a cellar dweller and they paid out the nose for him. Giving that kind of trade value for a restricted free agent so you can give him a massive contract is nuts.

LeBron, even at 90 years old, was their second best player and they are going to ask Jake LaRavia and Jarred Vanderbilt to fill his production.

With a healthy Luka... I think they're a 45 win team, if Luka misses games (which is a near guarantee) they're going to be dog crap. When Luka is healthy... that dude is going to set records for ball hoggery...

Also, Reddick was a LeBron hire. He and Luka have already clashed a ton. I expect he will be fired during the season.

Agree. The Suns are still another lineup fix away from being anything but very marginally better than last year.

I actually think on the court they can be a bit better than they were at the end of the season, but end of day that won’t move them up the ladder much.

If they don't get back tot he ball movement they had in the first half of last season they are not going to improve much.

I think we're more talented on paper but I think our projected starters is going to make for a lot of ugly stretches of offense.

I think the Lakers and Timberwolves could go either way with their additions and losses this offseason. On paper the Lakers could be good, but they will be post Lebron. The Wolves lost some talent upfront. However, Beringer will surprise at FC.

The Suns could have been much improved if they had strengthened the center position, but they did strengthen the power forward position. Still, rim protection is questionable. If Fleming could play some center, it might help get the best players on the court.

And why couldn't the Suns guard anyone the second half of last season, was it player personnel or coaching? I'm still perplexed about this.

okc - spurs - nuggets will likely fill out the top 3

after that it's a crap shoot imo - with chemistry and injuries being the determining factors

45 to 50 wins (hopefully) - not sure where that will land us seating wise

I don't know. He's only 19. I gained an inch in height during college. It's possible.
