Highsmith is PF/SF. Brea won't get a regular NBA contract anytime soon. The rest are also 6'3 and shorter other than Book.
Goodwin guards SG’s and is one of the best lb for lb rebounders in the league. I’d like Gillespie to get a lot of PT after knowing what the NBA grind is like.

I share the high hope for both. CG was worn down late last season and his 3pt shooting dropped off quite a bit. He needs to improve his handle in the traffic a bit more to the McConnel level.

I had forgotten about Amir Coffey. He's a UFA. Any word on him?

The Suns now have three young power forwards on their roster, Miles Bridges, Rasheer Fleming and Koa Peat plus some players they can slide into that spot with Brooks and Highsmith (pending).

What concerns me more is center.

I'm not confident with any of the three (Mark Williams, Oso Ighodoro or Khaman Maluach) being the consistent answer there unless Maluach blossoms.

He's not going to blossom unless he gets playing time. So not sure what you want. Getting a 4th center isn't going to solve anything.

It would have helped last season with Williams going down, Maluach not ready and Oso's limitations.

I'm not sure much has changed except the hope things will get better.

Well and Williams isn't injured at the moment and Malauch does have more experience. Pretty big difference from the last few months of the season.

We'll see. Center is where I see the Suns most vulnerable besides adding another guard who can shoot.

miles and kennard gotta be it for the offseason right? tapped out on cash - roster is full

we essentially swapped grayson and oneale for a 6th man sniper and starting power forward/rim rocker - while unlocking the first round draft pick

I think this is the best center rotation we have had in a long time.

And yeah. This finishes it I think, unless they trade Green for a pg which I don’t think likely.

Would love to trade green for a playmaker.

been wrapping my hippie brain around these moves - and i think i get it?

not only did grayson and oneale cancel eachother out as far as size and skillset goes - but we also upgraded when we got dillon brooks

dillon's 3 ball isn't as nice as royce or grayson's but dillon knocks them down when it's important - i think his percentage goes up with the intensity of the game

but that's 3 guys - all small forwards (at best) playing power forward because rasheer wasn't ready

we needed a real power forward - we needed to clear cap space - we needed to unlock the first round draft pick - this was 3 birds with one stone

i think we were gonna pay royce 10 million this year and grayson around 18 million

i believe we will be paying miles 22 million (extension pending) and kennard 6.5

that's a wash but it also got us our first round pick back

kennard is easy - he's here to shoot 3s - im thinking both sides agreed he needs to shoot a lot more because you don't pass up on shots AND play for jordan ott

i think kennard saw all the career 3 numbers coming out of phoenix - with a very unselfish devin booker leading the cast - i suspect luke kennard chose us over numerous suiters and probably for less money because 6.5 was all we could offer at this time

rasheer and koa aren't starter ready but i think they'll speed up the process competing for minutes behind miles bridges while watching miles bridges make his bread by going to the rim

again - i think koa is coming in ahead of where rasheer was - rasheer has a better 3 ball but we want to bang inside and out

this all goes to say the hippie is indeed staying with the 50 win prediction - if @Raindog is cool with it the bet can proceed as designed

miles makes us better but we also should theoretically have williams at the end of the season - with a more seasoned maluach helping to manage mark's minutes

this is going to be a super interesting year - this roster can do it all on both sides of the ball

every tool is in the tool box plus jordan ott had the offseason to think about his rookie year and what he could've done differently - i imagine there's a few nights he wishes he had back but i'm still 100% in on jordan ott

and hey - we have first round draft picks again - they might be lousy and thrice recycled but at least we won't have to move up to see who slips through the draft - lol we'll be right there - last pick locos forever!

Ott is going to have to put this team together in a way that makes sense. The biggest question is whether Booker and Green are a fit together.

It looks fine to me. I think Goodwin might get off the bench earlier though because of his defense and playing bigger than his size.

I could see the Suns not guaranteeing the remainder of Highsmith's contract or possibly trading Ryan Dunn.

another piece to the puzzle is mark williams who apparently loves him some miles bridges - they'll be starting together coming at the rim from different angles again

when ish watched tape on williams he saw a ish ton of miles bridges - gregory too - combine that toughness with one dillon brooks and nobody's bullying devin booker or jaylen green - we will be doing the bullying

We look at Book and Green together and if it doesn’t work, we trade one of them. It is anathema to think of trading Book, but he is just starting to decline Imo. It might make sense to do a deal before it’s obvious to everyone else. It’s hard for me to say this but it’s a business.

His contract makes it hard.

I think it could be good for Devin to go elsewhere and compete. Get some new experiences while he's still a really good player. Hopefully there is a situation on the east coast where he can be on a winning team as the #2 or 1b option.

The Suns don't have a bad roster. Their ceiling is still pretty low, but their floor is definitely the play in, moreso than last season even. Pending injury, I don't see this team not making the playoffs. I just don't see them advancing all that much.

Agreed. Play-in is what I also expect. 7th-10th best team record wise. Very keen to see how they perform in Ott's second season.

Nobody was bullying the Pistons but they were still frauds cause they had a poorly built team for 2026 basketball. Right now the Suns have below average shooting and playmaking. There are still trades to be made.
