I'm trying to figure out what the Suns gave up to move up with the Mavericks.

The Suns give up #47 and two future second round picks for Koa Peat.

Disagree. Koa is a tweener who’s big but doesn’t put in effort on the boards and has no outside shot.

I hate this pick
Agree. This is like the Chicago Bulls drafting Byron Houston in 1992. Another guy who had a good game for college but no way it translates to the NBA. I mean, I guess they're taking a shot, but he's just going to be another roster filler for whatever his pro career amounts to.

I like this trade. You don't expect the last pick in the first round to contribute. Koa will have a chip on his shoulder. He might not have an outside shot but the guy wins wherever he goes. Won't bash this pick like many will because not much is expected.

He is a Tweener. We have up draft capital for this guy? He could get away with playing PF in college but the NBA averaging only 5.6 Reb in NBA? No way is he an everyday PF in the NBA.

My guess is they were looking for a utility defender. He can defend multiple positions and is a good Iso defender.

Having said that was he worth 2 second rounders? Not so sure.

I applaud the notion of moving up, but there were lots of guys with much higher ceilings available. Peat is about as JAG as it gets.

I knew he had a problem shooting stroke, but I hadn't researched him. The Suns must have liked him a lot.

we needed more interior scoring - more size inside - he's good on defense - we basically did the same thing we did last year - wait fir talent to fall but don't let it hit the ground/round 2

I never even heard about the guy until I saw his name attached to the Suns as a potential trade up to get him.
He was a highly rated Frosh at Arizona. First game put up 30pts and everyone thought he was a star. Spent rest of reason not being a star but not a bust. Meh.
