I still haven't gotten an answer for when are we not tanking?I know you want to tank, but let's not be so obvious about it, eh?

Just had an Angiogram this morning. Still woozy from anesthetic. I meant a 2027 pick. That pool is outstanding. I agree it’s likely is 2 more years at best before Cards are competitive for playoffs. Chance to grab a young, cost controlled starter.

I think that's a question for the players. And if one win makes that much difference, we might as well start looking forward to 2028We don't have to tank. We will lose outright. The only question comes at the very end. Say we beat Jets/Raiders and lose out on top pick. Is it worth it? 4 wins instead of 3.
No worries, Harry. I figured you meant 2027.Just had an Angiogram this morning. Still woozy from anesthetic. I meant a 2027 pick. That pool is outstanding. I agree it’s likely is 2 more years at best before Cards are competitive for playoffs. Chance to grab a young, cost controlled starter.
I know most think I’m crazy. I’m still ridng with Ossenfort. I know he hasn’t been perfect, but I think it’s hard to imagine coming it at a worst time especially with incompetent ownership. I like most of the infrastructure he’s built. I’m not sure teams are going to enjoy playing this team. Gannon had lost the locker room after the bye. Murray was an anchor. Timing on getting a replacement QB was bad. The injury issue was a bigger issue than most credit. I don’t think they win a bunch of games this year, but I think they’ll be more competitive than others believe. I think they get a QB in 2027. If that goes well I’m willing to go until 2028. At 78 that’s a big risk for me personally. It’s incredibly hard to build a good GM. Certainly Bidwill has proven no sure things will work for him. To me Ossenfort is our best hope.No worries, Harry. If it's 2 more years before we're competitive even to get to the playoffs, you must agree that Monti is a massive failure and shouldn't see another year, no? This is all a mess of his direct making, after all.

No wonder MO can't build a team...he's got a lot on his plate...LOLHe ran outta gas. He had a flat tire. He didn't have enough money for cab fare. His tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from outta town. Someone stole his car. There was an earthquake, a terrible flood, locust's. It wasn't Monti’s fault! I swear to God!

I don’t think Eli would have played for us.One win wouldn't specifically, unless we are talking about Peyton Manning/Ryan Leaf type deal. How is Caleb/Stroud working out now?
Speaking of...Cards were right there at #2 that year. Would anyone give up a win or two to draft Peyton Manning (if we would even)? How different would those franchises be if Colts/Chargers picks were swapped? That's a fun what if, with Brees, Rivers, etc.
We had a #1 pick and got Kyler, imagine if Burrow was there instead. Oh well. Not all drafts are created equal.
Have to get lucky at the right time, but you still have to have competence up top to build/sustain.
However, I would rather sell the #1 pick and grab the "2nd" or "3rd" best in a "loaded" QB draft.
I see a number of similar posts. None of them seem to list the guys who’ve said they’re dying to work for Bidwill. We’ve certainly seen a number of coaches who’ve apparently turned down Bidwill even to work for less money. Also seen some who declined to be interviewed. I believe the difference is, we know what Monti brings to the table. Someone new will at least give you the possibility of different results.I see a number of similar posts.
