That's pretty damned shortsighted and narrow-minded of you to put it that way. And I'm not even the biggest fan of that type of music.

Rappers, the real ones that actually rap with meaning, are some of the best wordsmiths and lyricists you will EVER encounter.

I'll stick to listening to music based on voice, beat, sound and instrumentation. If it's pleasing to your ears go for it.

twitter has become some sort of real time ipso facto jury/justice mob during big games - like some wanna be internet sleuths they break it all down - most of it is garbage but some accounts make some very valid cases

when they reversed the call last night from wemby to kat they knew what they were doing imo - and it stunk to high hell but that's just my opinion- not looking to argue - saw what i saw

Yeah, there is a lot of garbage out there.

I seldom read random tweets and stick to sources who have a good track record.

Jesus H. Christmas, you must have grown up under a rock.

Feel free to show me your music degree that gives you authority to declare that hip hop doesn't involve voice (seriously?), beat (wtf?), sound (huh?), or instrumentation, and I'll show you where your education failed you.

EDIT: Just say you don't like the music type and move on. Don't act like you have your opinion because of some high and mighty music [non]sense you claim you have. That's just being pedantic without the qualifications to be a music pedant.

Back on topic: I still want the Knicks to lose, mostly because of their fan base that has now stabbed Spurs fans, and apparently literally egged Spurs players on their way to their hotel on a night where their team won.

As a team though, the Knicks have won me over with their grit and resilience.

But eff Knicks fans.

I don't like that sound. I thought I made it clear enough. Don't personalize it by attacking me.

You can say you don't like virtually any kind of music and 99% of people don't care but there's a few niche genres where people make it a personality and defend it as if it's an attachment of them.

True but I think there is some pushback against the idea that "rap" and such aren't music. It's not my kind of music but I could say the same thing about bluegrass and opera so I like what I like and ignore the rest. I clearly remember what the older generations thought about the music I grew up with in the late 50's and early 60's so I avoid the "is it music" conversation as much as possible.

You attacked everyone else who doesn't share your musical taste with the way you framed your opinion.

This is a discussion forum. One can express themselves without attacking someone. Maybe you should use it that way.

And this is not the proper thread to do it.

Look in the mirror.

Attacking people's music taste passive-aggressively (what you did with your choice of words) is still an attack (in a female dog kind of way), especially after I attempted to inject some information into the discussion.

Choose your words better.

How you are perceived isn't up to you, but how you present yourself is.

Alright enough. Go discuss everything music in the music forum

Thats the thing: I'm not even that big of a music-head, and my preferred bands include Breaking Benjamin. I really don't go into the music forum.

I just hate it when people denigrate something/someone they don't understand to try and make their position in life more appealing/respectable. Being passive aggressive about it makes it even worse.

That's my last word on this subject, at least in here.

This is not the P&R forum nor the music forum. Take your trash comments and go away.
