You got to know when to hold 'emIf the Cards really want to be the center of attention, they should trade Jacoby for a 7th, start Minshew for 4ish games, then give it to Beck. To anon things up, after trading Jacoby, throw out a 5th in the Supplemental Draft and see if you land Kenny Rogers.
This we can all agree onMO should have been fired months ago. Dude is terrible at his job.
Whatever the Cards are going to do it should have been done long before this week.

The organization acts like they don’t know what is ever coming even though they are the arbiters of what’s next. This we can all agree on

The Gambler would be the iconic songWhat’s his most iconic song and movie?
Yeah...the inability to navigate very simple issues is where I can get the most critical of Monti. People on this message board could have navigated this Brissett situation better than Monti has. Some would have just cut him when he didn't report because of his status in the league. Others would have given him the bump he is asking for because it isn't a lot of money. LOssenfort just sits on his thumb. The organization acts like they don’t know what is ever coming even though they are the arbiters of what’s next.
It is maddening.
Meanwhile, Calais Campbell preferred a return to Baltimore than another year with the Cardinals, in a season where he’ll be a defensive lineman at age 40. That like watching Randy Johnson win his 300th game with the Giants, especially if Campbell gave up a starting job for a rotational role with the Ravens. It says more than anyone cares to admit.
Point is, Ossenfort has now drafted 35 players in the NFL Draft. And his Cardinals keep falling further behind, teetering on the brink of irrelevance.
There have been injuries, bad luck and plenty of alibis to go around. But if the Cardinals don’t get enormous returns on investment from their young, homegrown players in 2026, you can’t possibly trust him with the No. 1 pick in the 2027 draft. Which makes the Brissett holdout a matter of clarity and urgency, one way or the other.
Just uninformed speculation because you can’t believe Monti is this stupid/bad/incompetent?my guess is monti guaranteed brissett the starting gig and more money this year - with no extension and that he isn't bluffing
i've stated several times i don't know - that i'm uninformedJust uninformed speculation because you can’t believe Monti is this stupid/bad/incompetent?
The result is Monti is off the hook in your mind though?i've stated several times i don't know - that i'm uninformed
my guess has nothing to do with my faith in monti - im not a monti faithful - my guess is based in logic
again - im guessing monti has no problem with paying brissett more for this year - what gm wouldn't? it's only logical
but i'm also guessing monti won't extend brissett for the numerous reasons i've already posted - and i'm more than good with not extending brissett at this point in time
i'm plainly not sticking up for monti - i am not pro-monti - i was on the fire monti bus with everybody else - i think you even asked me for some weed when we pulled over on one of the rest breaksThe result is Monti is off the hook in your mind though?
And The Gambier is gonna be available in the Supplemental Draft. The Gambler would be the iconic song
If he’s asking for another year with starter money, I think the Cards’ management says no. If the team had gone 7-5 with him under center, it would be a different conversation. No way do you hook your wagon to a QB who went 1-11. The team certainly will have a new QB next year — and maybe this year too. I think his only hope is to take whatever the Cards offer this year, play his butt off while leading the team to an improved record, then ask for more money and years. If Cards had a better option, he wouldn’t even be on the team.Interesting it's not done yet and Brissett isn't showing good faith to come knowing we will pay up. 10-12 mil sounds fair? But how long is he the starter?
Maybe we are waiting to see what we have in Beck and have Minshew. Brissett really has no leverage. If this gets into training camp he's done.
I'm sure you are going for The Gambler in both song and movie, but I remember him most as an actor for Six Pack (1982) – A feature film in which he portrays a race car driver who becomes the guardian of six mischievous orphans. What’s his most iconic song and movie?

Can we change the thread title to read:
Arizona Cardinals have maybe......possibly......made a partial decision on QB Jacoby Brissett......maybe.....
