Torey needs to stick with McCann as Gallen's catcher. He just knows how to call games for him, better than Moreno.

Whatever happened to small ball, you know, Embrace the Chaos? Ala 2023.
Well those teams played great defense, hustled, and got on base. They were really must see TV because they just scrapped.
And several of those defenders have taken big steps back.
We don't have Christian Walker and his gold glove at 1B
In 2023 Perdomo was one of the best defensive infielders in baseball. Over 1100 innings 4 errors. 3 already.
Gurreil has always sucked in LF but at least his bat covered it some. Now Colorado has spent the whole series trying to pull the ball his way and its been TERRIBLE.
Fun fact, these are our negative WAR players for 2026. From below zero to worst

Always loved Alek Thomas defensively but Ryan Waldschmidt continues to impress in centerfield - that was another solid defensive play here in the first inning.
