The offseason is a soap opera for men.
Pittsburgh sports talk radio gave this like 10 minutes of run last night. You have to understand that they're talking about him every day. It's high drama here. They bagged on the Cards a while, but then they complimented our weapons like crazy. Called Wilson our #1. Bagged rightly on our O-line. One guy said he thinks Brissett is better than Rodgers at this point!

So the guy is delusional.
Brissett is horrific and will probably be worse than last year given his age and wear on his body.

I don’t think Rodger’s is the answer but he is light years ahead of Brissett.

Also those crowing about Wilson should probably step back and remember that Brissetts stats mostly came in garbage time which means so did Wilson’s.

I would like to see this happen. It immediately makes this team worth watching. Aaron on this team gives us at least hope of a WC.

Beck doesn't need to start this year, unless it's an injury.

Aaron >>>>>>>>>>>>> Jacoby.

Aaron is anti woke.
Whatever this means I'm guessing that's a good reason to bring him in? Would you NOT like to see this happen if he wasn't? I would think your football reasons wouold be good enough, but what do I know?

On the surface you're probably right. But if JB thinks he's going to start this season I imagine he's out on some HS football field with his receivers working out, getting the timing down. But who knows.

I'm happy you said that, because it reminded me of another thing they said that would make people's brains melt on here. They pointed to Brisset's TD to INT ratio and how great his numbers were :D

I think its equally likely Rogers camp leaked "interest" to pressure on the Steelers
Could be but then who put out the no interest rumor then? This doesn't benefit Rodgers in the slightest if thats the case and I would think the no interest rumor came from them.

Crazy, but has the game passed him by?

Can he get us to the playoffs?

Another AZ retirement project?

How much?

Way more questions than answers about him.
Why couldn’t he get us to the playoffs? Of course, it’ll depend on how healthy a season we have. It’ll ALWAYS depend on injuries if we’re to have any success. I hope he does sign with us. Nothing wrong if Beck has to sit and watch for a season. Outside of having a moron owner, this team is definitely talented enough to be a playoff team.

FA QB Aaron Rodgers, who is expected to visit the #Steelers Friday and this weekend, will likely play for them in 2026, sources say.

A deal is not done & there is always caution until things are signed. But Rodgers’ plan is to play for PIT & these are steps toward that end.

The cool thing is the local sports talk radio morning show broke the news and Rapoport quoted it. I hate the Stillers but love my local radio guys.

So what you’re saying is even in YEAR 4 of a rebuild we still don’t have starters or depth to make the playoffs if we have to deal with injuries… you know… the same thing every team in the NFL deals with on a regular basis. Got it.

One way to not avoid injury is to bring in a QB that will turn 43 years old during the upcoming season... Yikes.

there were several times over the past ten years that I wanted Rodgers on our team.
2026 iis not one of those times. it is exactly the worst possible time we could bring him in.

next year is apparently a solid class for young QB's in the draft.
we need a young QB...
the only way we dont use our first round pick on a QB next year is if Beck proves he is that guy.
Beck cannot prove he is that guy from the bench.
Rodgers is an auto starter....even if he only plays half the season it interferes with learning about Beck....
Rodgers also reduces our chance at having a high enough pick to get a good young QB prospect.... even if we are in the 12-18 range we can move up... but if we are in the 25 range moving up starts to cost us future #1 picks...which I dont think Monti will trade...so at best we end up with QB6 from the draft who is likely only marginally better than Beck if at all.

Just say no to ARod in Red

Aaron Rodgers is expected to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend and is likely to play for them this season, sources told @nflnetwork's @RapSheet.

There is no agreement between the Steelers and Rodgers at this time, sources told ESPN.

Realizing this is probably fake news but I read somewhere Rodgers bought a house in Scottsdale. I should've copied the link.

It was from a satire account. I saw it too.

Word here in the 'Burgh is that it isn't a done deal, that money is still to be decided. If the Stillers don't want to go too high and Rodgers wants around 30 mill, it might not happen.
