People can point out flaws and use examples of such and such team doing it with less.
The point is at 3, you want to try and get a player that can change your team.
Trading back for a RT doesn't do that.

I have a feeling this is exactly what's going to happen. We're going to trade back and end up with Fano and Simpson, purely panic-based, need-based drafting, instead of getting any kind of game changing player. Fano will end up being a league average OT we're talking about replacing in a few years, and it'll be less than a year before we consider running back the plan on Josh Rosen/Kyler Murray with Simpson and whoever the new hotness is next year.

Hell yes! Not going to lie I was terrified we were going to draft another positionless linebacker in Reese. Love is a true alpha, I don’t care if he is being paid top 7 RB money, that won’t matter when he wakes this offense up.

I love Connor’s career as a cardinals, but my man had a terrible injury and is 30+, he’s here to mentor.

Algier will be a great second back similar to Atlanta.

I am onboard with the pick. He was BPA given the strength of the draft and lack of good trade down offers. But my god, that RT spot is looking like a big black hole right now.

He would have had to hire a coach who'd never coached in the NFL and had been retired for 15 years to do that. We picked Ottis Anderson the year after we lost Coryell to the Chargers over money and Bidwill tampering with personnel. Bidwill then hired Bud Wilkinson. Bidwill lost Metcalf to the CFL after the 77 season. 78 we had Wayne Morris and Jim Otis, Otis was pretty washed, Morris never panned out so they took Anderson the next year in a week draft. It was the 2nd year of Wilkinson as coach, Bidwill wanted him to start Pisarkiewicz at QB because Jim Hart was 35, Pisarkiewicz was terrible, Wilkinson refused so he fired him with 3 games left in the season.

Honestly as bad as the Cards have been in recent years it doesn't even come close to those post Coryell years
