Does anyone seriously want this guy?

I sure don't. Dude has 2 more years for 90 million. Is on the downside of his career, and just missed 60 games.
I don't. He doesn't fit what we are trying to build here. A real defensive liability and a guy who has a propensity to get in foul trouble. And yeah, on top of that, health concerns.

In addition to Green and Allen, I think we would also have to add Rasheer or Maluach, maybe even both, for the trade to become even a little bit enticing for the Bucks.
I'd guess Green+Brooks + Dunn and/or Oso for Giannis

I'd do that, but I am not sure why the Bucks would do it. Suns don't have the picks to match anyone's offer. My guess is that it would take Fleming, Maluach, and Dunn, along with Green, and someone else to make the salaries work. They'd have to gut their roster. I absolutely love Giannis but I am not sure he and Book are enough to lead a gutted roster anywhere

Gambo has but the kibosh on this one with an indirect hit on Flex.

I hope we have some interest in John Collins, who is a free agent and likely done with the Clippers. There's been reports the Suns had interest in Collins since the KD trade so someone here likes him. He's 6'9" and now that he's not on his ridiculous extension maybe he can be brought in for around the MLE. We can also do a sign and trade sending out Grayson, Royce, or even Dunn if needed. There's a few ways to make it happen but he'd be a decent rotation 4/5 that can stretch the floor and cover some minutes while Flemming develops.

I'm for adding depth at the 4/5 and trying to hang onto Goodwin and Gillespie.

I'm not sure the Suns can afford Collins, not that I don't want him, but it's hard doing things on a budget.

I'll speculate here rather than turn the offseason thread into a bunch of fantasy deals.

If we decide to shop Jalen Green, which I'm 50/50 on, I'd like to see us work with Chicago. A deal that landed us Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis lines up financially. It actually sheds like $3 million off our cap. It would give us a good defensive PG with lots of size in Giddey and a project in Buzelis but he's shown potential and a lot of athleticism.

Chicago is a stupid franchise so I don't believe anyone is off the table for them otherwise Buzelis might be, he was a lotto pick in 2024 and took a big step this year. He's also a really good athlete. He'd solve our PF issues, or give us 30 minutes a game there.

If Green isn't willing to come off the bench, be a change of pace 6th man, he's gotta go.

The Booker, Brooks, Green offense just doesn't work.

I would be in favor of that. I don't believe the Suns are smart enough to do something like that, even if the Bulls could be talked into it.

IDK. After listening to podcasts regarding Ishbia's end of season media session, it sounds like the Suns are mostly looking to run it back, and maybe make smaller moves around the fringes. That Green, Booker, Brooks did not play that many minutes together seems to be something the Suns want to see more of. Luxury tax doesn't seem to be an Ishbia concern, but the aprons are. Rumors from Olsen and Gambo seem like if the money is right, Gillespie, Goodwin, and Williams may be back. Sounds like the big deal making Suns may have evolved into a more patient Suns, build from the draft and maybe trades type of team. We have got back the mid level exemption again by getting under the aprons. That could supposedly net us a decent player. I am thinking the blow up the Suns part of the board is going to be very disappointed this off season.

I don't think you're wrong about that. But I do believe the "run it back again" portion of the fan base are going to be very disappointed after next season.

I don't think there is much of a "run it back again" fan base. It's more like "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater."

Keep the pieces that work.

Maybe Giannis has interest, but the Suns can't gut their team a second time. They have to continue to build they way they have been lately.

I'm in that group and provided we win over 30 and less than 50, I'll be happy. It's all about expectations. I recognize we could improve while we also could slip some.

By run it back I mean roughly 80% of the rotation. I'm in favor of moving Grayson, ideally for a PF, and giving it another go. Grayson is the only guy firmly in the rotation I want to move on from. He has value and should be able to get a rotation big in return, which is what we need.

I'm happy with Book, Jalen, Brooks, Collin, Goodwin. Williams, Royce, Maluach, and Fleming rounding things out.

Dunn is on the fence, I could take it or leave it.

Of course he is not going to be willing to come off the bench, he's too good for that.

But I so don't agree he is the one that should go - Booker is more over paid, much older and is not going to get any better.

I am mostly for it actually. If we would trade Book I would be for that, but I don't want to trade Green so that pretty much means making changes on the edges.

I do not want Goodwin, Gillespie, our rookies or Oso to leave. I think they all have upside.

Really the only guys I want gone are Williams, Grayson and Royce.

No, he isn't too good for that.

He is a guy who loves to shoot and is a bad shooter. He also doesn't pass or get to the line. He has a lot of huge holes in his game and our ball movement offense vanishes when he is on the court.

Even if he had interest we don't remotely have the assets to swing a trade.

a.i. is fun - i asked how many draft picks is grayson allen worth?

As of May 2026, Grayson Allen is generally considered to be worth 1 first-round pick (likely late in the round) or a combination of 1 first-round pick and multiple second-round picks/role players, according to trade value discussions from early 2025.

oneale

Based on recent trade history and his current contract, Royce O'Neale is generally valued at three second-round picks

jalen

Jalen Green is generally valued at one high-value asset, such as a top-10 protected first-round pick or a young player of similar potential, due to his high scoring upside and athletic ability. While inconsistency has led to debates about his trade value, he remains considered a valuable asset, particularly in rebuilding scenarios.

brooks

Based on recent market assessments, Dillon Brooks is generally considered to be worth one protected first-round pick or multiple second-round picks. While his elite perimeter defense and solid contract offer value, some perspectives suggest a high first-round pick is too steep, placing his trade value closer to role-player packages.

Yeah, I don't think this is anything but silly talk. But make of it what you will...

I like that more than the theoretical Ja Morant deal. Not that either are great but I'd sooner gamble on Zion's physical health over Ja's mental and physical health.
