Agree to disagree. Love is great player. Not doubting that. That is too much draft capital to spend at #3 on that position.
And if he is head and shoulders above any OT we would trade down to take? If the answer is you don't care, you're following the Monti no-Big John plan.

Stout, and I say this with respect, you changed your avatar, so I think you need to change your screen name to Big Johns..........wait a minute, let me think about that..............I take it back, Big Johns almost sounds like a Brothel...but for Big Johns...so a Brotherl??

I would counter that MHJ was not the consensus top WR. It is different here.
If you frame it that these guys are prospects and not finished sure-fire NFL players, it makes it easier to understand both when teams miss on a pick and when an unknown suddenly overperforms expectations. The draft is a crapshoot.

Imagine if we woke up today and we acquired Jamyr Gibbs?
This site would explode.

Well Gibbs part two is sitting right there. We have a new head coach that we are told is an offensive Guru. Love is the type of player that can score from anywhere on the field. We are not going to stop the teams in this division so how about we TRY to keep up with them.

We are not making the playoffs this year. But don’t pass on “ Peterson” for “Brown” again.

Had a dream last night. I was watching the draft, and the Cards were on the clock. We traded the pick to Dallas for their two 1s this year and their 2nd next year. They picked Love. Not sure if it was a good dream or future nightmare cuz we’d probably blow the picks again.

Big difference between cards and lions…. When the lions drafted Gibbs they had studs on the o line and a quarterback…and a elite edge… thinking Gibbs would of been as effective here is foolish

i'm hoping even the cardinals can't mess this up
Since I figure we likely won’t know for a couple of years, I won’t sweat it. On the other hand the opinions are so polarized you can be certain many are inflexible enough any selection will be attacked, especially since none will lead to the playoffs.

Or, you know, people can look at the players and have a specific criticism that could be totally valid!

Johnny venerable and Bo say it’s Bailey vs Francis mag…with the offensive tackle getting the nod at 3 with a offensive coach..I am fine with either one of those at 3

Oddly enough Brown won 4 playoff games in his career with the Cardinals while Adrian Peterson was 1-4 in the playoffs and rushed for 100 yards once in the post season.

Love isnt Peterson, he's not even Jeanty.
