The Cards would save cash and cap by releasing Kyler before that March deadline and letting him sign elsewhere for even $8 million a year.The Cardinals should tell Kyler they are keeping him if he doesn't accept a trade, no matter the money cost, and that he can enjoy the season at home otherwise.
Acknowledging to Kyler's camp, they gave him bad contract and are prepared to eat it. This should be their official position and of course work on trades in the background.
