Ah, a "You've Got Mail" reference....the wife makes me watch it at least once a year, her favorite movie lolAs they say, “It’s business, never personal
Ok so the same thing we always getPeople who think major reinforcements are arriving via free agency are gonna be super-disappointed.
Monti is a loser so...People who think major reinforcements are arriving via free agency are gonna be super-disappointed.
I'm still surprised that they paid Mark Andrews over the promising younger option... But it's the Ravens so I'm sure they know what they're doing!JPA

I won't be shocked if the Chiefs go after Kyler if he is cut. Money was the sticking factor, but they may think he can work until Mahomes is back. Also, they could offer him two years so they could trade him if he looks decent in 2026. Mahomes is a little off beat in how executes the offense so it might be a better fit than the McVay/Shanahan system.Jeremy Reisman

So the Chiefs did the maximum simple restructure with Patrick Mahomes.
Turned his $55.75M salary into a $1.3M salary (vet minimum) and $54.45M bonus that is spread out $10.89M per year for 5 years.
Lions may very well do the same with Goff's $55M salary.
Yup and Reid makes it famously easy on signal callers. They could get a lot of value from a one-year deal and then get the comp pick if Kyler redeems himself.I won't be shocked if the Chiefs go after Kyler if he is cut. The Colts are not expected to re-sign Braden Smith, who will become one of the best available offensive line free agents.
Indianapolis plans to go younger at right tackle with 2025 4th-round pick Jalen Travis.
The Cardinals, Raiders and Texans are expected to express interest.

Among the predictions I logged today: The #Cardinals signing WR Alec Pierce to a three-year, $66M contract.
Pierce, 25, is likely to be the top WR on the open market and should command at least $20M/yr from what I've heard.
That would be awesome! But I'd expect Pierce to get more than that.
You expect more for a guy that even in his best season averaged a whopping 2.7 catches a game? Really?
I certainly could be wrong - but as the #1 WR on the market, with the Colts speculated to use the franchise tag on him ($28M/yr), I think a team will pay him on what they project he'll do on the new team. Over 20 y/c for two years in a row makes him a rare talent in a market where a LOT of teams could be competing for his skillset.
Contract projection: 4 years, $102 million
Age: 26 Height: 6-3 Weight: 211
Pierce is a vertical outside receiver who is sudden off the line of scrimmage, including against press-man coverage. He led the NFL in yards per reception at 21.3, and 32 of his 47 catches went for explosive gains. He uses long strides to create space and has elite ball tracking, especially outside the numbers in contested-catch situations. Pierce has the leaping ability and body control to play above the rim. He has a second gear on vertical routes to create separation in the deep part of the field, and he will run past flat-footed corners who are playing off coverage.
In 2025, he showed more capability in intermediate areas, setting a career high with 441 receiving yards between the numbers. Pierce’s speed and vertical ability can create sizable cushions both pre-snap and during the down. He takes advantage of these cushions by snapping off intermediate routes, though he is not always a deceptive route runner in these areas.
If he has any kind of competency at GM, he lands this guy. Makes too much sense not to happen. This is the dream Monti has which he has been unable to execute.

Yes. Kyler would be an upgrade over Chris Oladukun, especially if Michael Bidwill is providing 80% or more of his income. So Kyler is good enough to provide value to a Super Bowl team/coach but not the Cardinals?
