I'm willing to give this a chance. Just because he was a terrible HC doesn't mean he can't be a good OC. Look at Kinsgbury, terrible HC but did a good job in Washington. Would not surprise me that the two brothers had some conversation about Hackett before his hiring.

Just a garbage ass “Good Ole Boys Club” hiring.

Like yea I know he won’t be calling the plays but damn this type of hire is still annoying.
Again its probably something where he's really good at helping a first time HC/play caller. Worked with his brother so trying to recreate it again here.

Just the way it is.

Lets hope Mike is as good at calling plays as Matt.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but Hackett wasn’t even in the entire league last year, right?

Exactly!

Go get a young dude and groom him if MLF is calling the plays.

I do want an experienced DC though that can help MLF though.

He was a defensive analyst for Green Bay.

Hackett rankings.
So, as long as he had Aaron Rogers in his prime, Hackett was good. So, all we need is to get a HOFer to be our QB and we'll be killing it on offense. No problem!:sarcasm:

We have the opportunity to hire someone from the Rams Seahawks and Whjners and we go get someone that no one wanted.

Can’t actually have strategy being used in hiring a staff.

Weaken a divisional opponent and get better in the process. That wouldn’t be Cardinal like.

HC experience and play calling. Hopefully he is good at clock management, in game adjustments and situational football as MLF will be busy calling plays.

We got someone with experience at least.

You assume any of them wanted to come here.

I was talked down on Radio Row. Offensives with Nathaniel Hackett as a non-play calling OC have had success. It's more of an administrative position.
