So was Dave McGinnis lol
Yeah he could fail and likely will based on our owner / franchise history. I still appreciate some tiny dose of hope and positivity

I remember feeling that way lol. 7 decades of being beaten down by a Bidwill does awful things to hope & positivityYeah he could fail and likely will based on our owner / franchise history. I still appreciate some tiny dose of hope and positivity

Couldn’t agree more. So far, I’m far more impressed with MLF than I ever felt with KK or JG.Has already shown more personality in 3 minutes than JG did in 3 years. There's an authenticity factor I like. Doesn't look like a guy who has to pretend he has it all together.
Our cheap ass owner needs to give him what he asks for & stay out of his way.Sorry to piss on everyone’s parade, but as long as Bozo Bidwill is the owner, whatever success we may have, will be fleeting. Sadly, it’s just the way it is.
LolML said he doesn’t like the acronym MLF.

Interesting quote from Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur when talking about building his coaching staff: "We are casting a wide net. There are conversations that need to be had within this building first with the coaches and all that.
We're going to be open to that and again, we owe it to these players to build the best staff that we can for these guys."
My mind immediately went to Nick Rallis. Only Cardinals coordinator under JG that hasn't landed somewhere.
I agree, but I stand by my statement that whatever success we see, it will be fleeting. The only hope of getting rid of him is if more employees file claims against him, if in fact, he’s as bad as some people claim.
he was talking about working with Monti, so pretty sure he was talking Monti
unless Mike has a secret family
Brit....uncalled for!We all just assume Mike B is closet gay right?
I don't know how many 61 year old billionaire lifetime batchelors there are but I'm guessing it's not many and none of them like wuss.
I’m stubbornly not holding an opinion on any of it. We know Rallis has called games and plays that flummoxed opponents; I think most DCs do that at times and we don’t hear about it.I know people will complain but I wouldn't mind keeping Rallis. I know the defense has issues, especially last year, but I'd like to see what he can do our from under Gannon with his own ideas and scheme. Still super young and has a bright future. Maybe bring in an asst HC from the defensive side to assist.
Or you can just say he’s an awful owner. We all just assume Mike B is closet gay right?

That 2008 SB team went 9-7 because the NFCW was trash. In today’s NFCW, that team would have won 5-6 games, even with a HOF QB Warner. Warner and Palmer played in systems that not just allowed them to take risks, but literally encouraged them to take risks. Let’s never forget “no risk it, no biscuit philosophy of BA. And Todd Haley’s philosophy wasn’t much different. Compare that mentality to what Murray had with KK & Petzing.I don't know man. We went to a Superbowl with him as President and old Papy Bidwill still around. He has, sad as it is, overseen the best winning period in Cardinals history.
What the team is missing, and what all teams with poor records are missing, is a quarterback.
You get a great QB (and decent coaches), and suddenly ownership doesn't matter so much. That's really the only difference between the 2008 to 2016 period and the past 9 years. I wasn't here than, but I'm guessing at the start of 2016 not many people were complaining about Mike B.
I gotta think Mo and ML talked about the injuries and players that will be returning. My point is that with Bidwill, and any Bidwill, this organization has NEVER been able to maintain longer stretches of success. You can go all the way back to the 60’s and it’s like watching Groundhog Day over and over again. Charley Winner had this team on the cusp of being special, then a season of debilitating injuries would set them back & old man Bidwill fired him. The same thing happened with Coryell in the 70’s. They go 10-4, 11-3, 10-4. They don’t make the playoffs in 76 with a 10-4 record, only because the Cowboys decided to sit starters against the Redskins in the last week & we lose on a tiebreaker. The following year in 77, we lose a ton of guys to injuries, finish 7-7, and Bidwill fires Coryell. The same thing happens in the 80’s with Jim Hanifan. Hanifan had built a really good team in 83 & 84. Then in 85, another injury plagued season & Hanifan was shown the door. The early years in AZ cannot even be explained as they were forced to play to play brutal road schedules to avoid the heat of playing outdoors at Sun Devil Stadium. And the NFCE then was like the NFCW now. Enter Michael & there are stretches of fun football with Tobin, Whiz, BA, and even KK. But, in every instance, it was fleeting success. And in every case, when that fleeting success ended, we would hit rock bottom. Groundhog Day all over again. And that story has been the case for as long as I’ve watched this franchise play. It’s not on any player, or any coach. It’s 100% on ownership. Michael talked a big game about sustained success when he hired JG. But just like his Daddy, whenever injuries beset real progress, he did exactly what his Daddy ALWAYS did. He moved on. I really do like LaFleur & I hope we see some success with him. But, this is the NFL & there are injuries. Even HOF coaches like Shanahan & McVay have had atrocious seasons due to injuries. The difference is that their ownerships didn’t fire them. Even if LaFleur shows steady progress, if he has an injury plagued season like KK had in 2022 or JG had in 2025, the Bidwills will do what they have ALWAYS done. They’ll start from scratch all over again……..GROUNDHOG DAY.
He isn't the best owner in the league and he isn't the worst. And he is better than dollar bill. How is that for faint praise?thread comment: i am as down on Mike B as anyone else. That said, somehow two different HCs overcame him and produced a period of winning football, so it proves a HC can do it. So -- Im not buying the nihilism. Thats different from recognizing the odds arent great.
Make a "ownership is terrible and nothing matters" thread and we can all debate that
Whether he is the best owner or the worse he consistently makes bad decisions. I don’t care or know who is MB.He isn't the best owner in the league and he isn't the worst. And he is better than dollar bill. How is that for faint praise?
On the Burnes and Gambo show he just said he enjoyed time at Bidwill's house and watching him be a husband and father. It made him want to work with him so...
Did he mean Ossenfort or did Michael rent a family to impress him
