Jaren Jackson Traded

The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks, sources tell ESPN

Bonkers. I don't get that trade for Utah, they're 20 games under 500 and they're missing a LOT more than a stretch 4 who seems like he's already in decline.

WTF

Danny Ainge is Aingeing right now. Doesn't help that the Memphis Organization is full of psychotics. This stinks of the org trying to appease Ja, which makes no sense.

Nah, it's a total tear down. I am pretty sure they would have traded Ja before Bane or JJJ but there isn't a market for him.

It likely neither here nor there, but I remember Dillon Brooks saying Ja Morant was his favorite player after Devin Booker.

I don't agree with you. You could argue they have a much better foundation for a team than the Suns do.

Jaren Jackson, Keyonte George, Laurie Markkanen, Walker Kessler and a good prospect in Ace Bailey. I would say that is more top end talent than the Suns for sure. Adding role players isn't that hard.

If they want to keep all those young guys happy they needed to try and start winning.

My dislike of it for Utah has nothing to do with the Suns.

I wouldn't want us to trade for JJJ either. I think he's developed into a limited player on a bad contract.

They just shot a huge chunk of their trade capitol on a player that IMO, they don't need at all, when they have other far bigger needs.

I am assuming Lauri is now going to play the 3 for them, which I also think is stupid.

The LA Clippers are trading James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Darius Garland and a second-round pick, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Tuesday.

Harden sat out Sunday's win in Phoenix and Monday's home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers for personal reasons, according to the team. Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said before Monday's game that Harden was at his home in Phoenix.

I know the team is really clicking right now, but if there is any chance you could run a lineup of....

Gillespie
Booker
Giannis
Williams
Brooks

You'd have to do it, right?
Booker + Giannis = Nash + Amare?

I think that worked For Giannis with the Bucks because Lopez could shoot the three and spread the floor. Might have to play some small ball at times to let Giannis be the four so he can drive to the hoop with shooters spacing the floor.

Why would Cleveland give up Garland for Harden? Dan Gilbert is a buffoon.
I know why they gave up on the oft-injured Garland, not so sure why they were willing to take on Harden though.

I wouldnt call Garland oft-injured anymore than I'd give Book that label. He hasn't been healthy this year but it seems every other year he misses the 65 game threshold for awards by 8 or so games.

Weird deal. I guess it had to do with Mitchell in Cleveland and making him happy but I don't see how replacing Garland with Harden does that.

Clippers win twice by getting Garland and getting rid of a locker room cancer in Harden.

The Bucks want Jaden McDaniels and multiple first-round picks from the Timberwolves in a potential Giannis trade, per
@SIChrisMannix
“Acquiring Antetokounmpo, though, is challenging. The Bucks want Jaden McDaniels, a source tells SI, with Milwaukee seeing McDaniels, 25, as a potential future All-Star. But the Bucks also want multiple first-round draft picks, sources say, and Minnesota’s war chest of them is nearly empty.”

The Bulls, Knicks, Pacers and Raptors are among the teams continuing to show trade interest in Yves Missi.

The Pelicans are holding out for a future 1st in any potential deal involving Missi, but no team has upped their offer thus far.

Current framework of a Domantas Sabonis to the Toronto Raptors deal, per
@ChrisBHaynes

Raptors receive:
- Domantas Sabonis

Kings receive:
- RJ Barrett
- Fill-in players
- Second round picks

The hold up is the Kings want a first-round pick
