I think tug of war is dramatic. They obviously have a slightly different preference and are willing to bring some options back in to try to come to a consensus.
I get it but where is this coming from? We are finding out we’ve had interviews that we didn’t know we’ve had.

I'm not the biggest McDermott fan but being unable to even get him in for an interview is disappointing.
no real QB answer
owner with a bad rep

you can probably overcome one of those with a top notch head coach candidate, but not both

I understand why he would pass on the job but being unable to even bring him in to chat is a bummer. Similar to Harbaugh potentially where he would be able to give you an assessment of where the Cardinals infrastructure is lacking.

He was supposed to fly in yesterday, but I’m sure it got delayed like alot of flights did due to the inclement weather.
Maybe, but if you already have your finalists, you would surely cancel Weaver's interview. Interesting thought that he could be a potential DC, though.

Weaver has intrigued me since the start, but I really don't know much about him.

If the Cards do go with LaFleur, being an offensive guy, it will be interesting to see what he plans at qb. Does he think Kyler can be salvaged? Does he feel Simpson is the answer? Does he have a dark horse in mind? Is he willing to roll with Brissett and draft a qb next year or see what next year's free agent crop has to offer?

It will be Murray or new QB this year. He won't want to waste a year with Brissett, IMO.
