Trade Nick Richards for Kevin Love, no picks included.
Is it possible to make this work now?

Okonwu and Toppin would be intrigueing, not sure whether they'd be available for either GA or RO + Richards or even Maluach

Toppin is more interesting to me. Okonogwu is a new PF and I don't think his 3pt shooting will hold up. I'd prefer Portis because I think he costs less and has a better motor but Toppin would be a good backup plan. All things equal in cost and I'd probably lean Toppin simply because he's younger. However Obi had foot surgery at the beginning of November and was ruled out for 3 months. That puts him a month away from playing, which isn't ideal. He's owed $15m next season and $16.25m the following year as well.

And Royce and Grayson are no longer "must trade" players for us. Grayson by himself is worth more than Toppin and Portis.

Nothing to learn there. Credit to SI for using a real insider though. Usually it's clickbait when they title something like that. The insider they're referencing is Duane Rankin though who says they're happy with what they have and barring a great offer don't expect anything.

I believe Gambo has confirmed that as well.

Gambo and Rankin are probably the only 2 legit insiders at this point. When they redid the front office this past offseason it appears they plugged a lot of leaks also, which is good and bad. Bad for us who are desperate for more coverage but good because it helps keep morale high in the locker room.

I don't follow Gambo much though outside of what is shared here so appreciate the info.

My sources tells me Nick Richards will be traded for draft picks.. bookmark it.. you heard it here first.. just like how I said Brooks will not be traded before Matty Ish said it..

Shooting my shot!

And what I mean by my sources is this 12 pack I am trying to finish that is making me say foolish things.. 1 down 11 more to go

If the team was muddling through with what they have it might be different. I think being able to add Green to the mix at this point is making a huge impact on any trade activity. They have no idea how good they can get at this point. It's almost like getting a midseason acquisition.

I just don’t see that many ways to improve the team. If they can trade a good player for a pick or two, that’s about it. Most trade targets are not going to contribute any more than what is already on our roster.

If they trade Richards for a pick, do they even add anyone. Maybe one of the two way players

All three of the Suns two-way players are worthy of a standard roster spot, especially Bouyea and Livers. We'll see what happens.

If the Suns do not add a player via trade or whatever, I expect 1-2 of them to fill the Suns 15 man roster if they make the playoffs.

I don’t see it for Livers.
