So Michigan lost, so our biggest competition to #1 overall is no longer that. At least for now. #2 is another Big 12 club, Iowa State.

Probably not for long since Kansas beat them handily today.

This is a great Wildcats team. If only we had 1/10 of the accomplishments of the other major sports teams, we would be set. U of A basketball excels while the rest of AZ sports sucks buttermilk.

Calm down Wilma!

Arizona has the same number of championships as the diamondbacks do.

And the last time that Arizona had a losing season in basketball was 15 years before the Diamondback’s first season

There’s not one more consistent athletic program in the state than Arizona basketball

Yeah, I was speaking more of consistency than titles. The Wildcats always field a great team. Unlike the ups (mostly downs) of the major sports teams in Arizona. Even I, as an ASU alum, enjoy watching U of A basketball. It is the one team in AZ that consistently delivers.

I can’t see us getting past @BYU without an L. This team has been leaking oil the past two games. That’s a scheduled loss if I’ve ever seen one

I hate the notion of “good losses,” but I could see a loss taking some pressure off the team
I think the Coach feels that way too given that comment he made about how he wouldn't have been upset even if they'd lost the game.

Boy was I wrong about Burries I figured he'd be pretty good but old freshmen overpowered kids in HS not a great body wants to go 1 and done I thought he'd be a distraction. What a game tonight so good in transition and for a freshman such a good defender.

Still don't see him fitting in the NBA he's not a 1 and too small to be a 2 but he's so much beyond what I thought he'd be he may prove me wrong there too

Boy that was almost an epic meltdown

I thought the refs tried to hand the game to BYU. that O foul on Bradley was bad, and the play where Dybantsa got the steal Kharchenko was fouled twice before that.

What a game by Burries

Leaving white euros wide open on the perimeter is usually a recipe for disaster. Arizona did that far too often in the last 5 minutes of the game. That, and Tommy sucks at inbounds plays. Had we lost, we would’ve deserved it.

Nonetheless, Arizona had firm control of the game for most of the time. Definitely some coachable moments at the end of the game.

Tony Padilla makes every game about himself. He’s universally hated by everyone.
The fact he can officiate a game after what he did to us during the last BYU game and after making this statement publicly is complete malpractice

After the next two games, the schedule’s about to get bananas (NET rank)
