Of all the options on the pupu platter so far, Weaver is the most intriguing to me. If he could line up a strong OC, I'd be very interested.

It's really hard to win with one of the worst owners in professional sports.
It’s hard to win consistently but the NFL is designed so that teams get a moment in the sun every few years.

Gannon didn’t get fired because he failed to make the playoffs. He would have survived if he’d won seven games.

Agree but it's also losing 14 out of the last 15, how we lost, and losing 9 in a row to end the season.

NO WAY to defend that performance.

For context - Steve Wilks only won 3 games with Rosen in 2018 but he never lost more than 4 in a row.
JG lost 5 in a row and then 9 in a row.

No doubt they’re doing their due diligence. But the top choices on their list won’t come here. Hope I’m wrong.
I don’t know, Slanidrac. I don’t think there is any doubt that Bidwill is holding the team back, and that some of the coaching options will accept other jobs before the Cards’. However, there are only 32, and obviously several candidates across the league will strike out on other HC-openings. Do you risk going back to your current team? We have certainly seen many coaches interviewing one year and then never get the chance again.

Also, who are the top choices? The ones that get interviews with most teams? I mean, Mike LaFleur is one of my top candidates, but only the Raiders have also requested an interview with him. At the same time, five teams have requested an interview with Vance Joseph, yet most posters on this board seem to despise the idea of him as the head coach.

I don't know. Again, there is probably no doubt that Bidwill is a problem, but I do think we might be selling the team a little short.

Context: Wilks had David Johnson as a running back...JG had......3rd, 4th and 5th stringers
why is everyone ignoring the fact we had NO RUNNING GAME AFTER WEEK 5?

A guy like Saleh will more than likely will be a head next year. But if this was the last spot open I could easily see him staying with the 49ers. Why. Because there will be 5-9 coaches fired next year. There will be more and better opportunities.

It's going to be Vance, huh? Would be completely uninspiring and show zero clue about winning, with a side of sucking up, so perfectly Cardinals?

Can we just make Webb the HC instead?
I’m surprised that thy haven’t even discussed Webb or Udinski.

Sometimes I feel like we could put a front office together with folks on this board and do a better job drafting and hiring coaches than Bidwill has. I mean there would be a lot of arguing but I think we would have a competitive team to watch lol

Saleh is tryin to squeeze in several team interviews before the 49er - Seahawks game this Saturday. I'm sure they are all Zoom calls jut getting acquainted with teams and opportunities. Hopefully there is enough interest from him to fly out and interview here whenever the 49er season is over.

Yeah I jus saw that reported by Adam Schefter: 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh is scheduled to interview late tonight for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching job.
Hope we have a legitimate chance. If they lose fly him out Monday Michael
