The only reason I'd mess with this roster is to fix our cap issues. But if we don't need to trade anyone, I'm fine with the roster we have.
I am beginning to get there as well.

We need to trade Richards to get under the tax, but other than that, we should probably stand pat.

That second team would give the starters some problems head to head.

I can't believe that we somehow have a glut of good role players. Everyone listed should get, at minimum 15-20 minutes per game, they pretty much all play their roles well. And most of those guys were there last season.

It really helps players grow when they are not standing around watching unaccountable superstars dribble for 20 seconds, take a terrible shot, and then not bother to get back on defense.

This is a roster that has a similar vision on the court.

I think we bet on a veteran like Davis to do what Bouyea has done for us.

But yeah such a good turnaround considering some of the players were here already; Allen, Oneale, Gillespie, Book, Oso, and Dunn.

The youth and energy from the new guys helps a lot, we can't do what we do if we don't have the horses to do so.

And for me, its the centers who are key to all of this.

i wonder how much (if at all) devin was involved with the who stays who goes process that took place in the offseason - because honestly - everyone that stayed is pretty bad ass

Why would you say that? Just curious. Royce is much more equipped to guard the 4 than Grayson is. Otherwise, Dillon would have to do it.
Yes, Dilllon is our 4.

Just a gut feeling really, I think Ott wants to maximize shooting and creation in the starting lineup.

Yeah. It would be nice if we had an actual power forward but unless he's a plus player, I'm not convinced it would be to our advantage. Sure, we currently give up some size at that spot but we gain matchup advantages with Dillon and Royce covering that position that offset much of what they give up. If we can add a PF without reducing our guard/perimeter threats then fine but I no longer view it as a necessity.
