I'd be on board with McDaniel because I find him fun to watch at press conferences, at the very least.

Seriously though, I like him a lot but worry he was starting to look a little broken there at the end, like his joy for coaching had burnt out. Still, I find him much more intriguing than like 80% of our scheduled coaching interviews.
He would need an Anthony Weaver type "leader of men" as his DC.

I am the least racist person you will ever meet. The remark is a reaction to the insincere way this organization works.
In fact I will say 75% of the interviews we conduct can be construed as insincere. It also is a rule put into place by the NFL to make owners play the game. It’s a way to avoid lawsuits.

Poll the site and see how many here REALLY believe Joseph’s has a chance to be our next head coach. The are a number of reasons he won’t be least of all because he’s black. He’s been here before. He was fired. We didn’t like him then and I doubt we’d be thrilled to have him back.

I understand your response but I ask that you consider I’m not judging Joseph’s , color, coaching ability or the man. If it wasn’t Joseph’s it would HAVE been somebody else.

You are so off base regarding VJ.

Yes he was here before, but he was highly regarded by MB. Enough so that he was given an interview for the open HC spot. In the end MB and MO decided that it would be better to start over with a totally new staff with all of the off field issues that Keim and company had and the need to flush those bad feelings.

Vance was also fired by Denver before and they brought him back to be their DC. Look for how that worked out for them. Vance currently leads one of the top 3 defenses in the league.

Also with the Cardinals bringing in Salah why would they need to bring in Joseph to check the Rooney Rule box? It makes zero sense.

To poo poo the exceptional defense that he has run over the last couple of years in Denver. To ignore the fact the he was one of good guys who was well respected by MB from the Kliff staff and say he is getting an interview purely to check a box is ignorant IMO.

It could be from the whole Tua situation had him over it. Change of scenery could recreate that spark. Cards would provide weapons to work with and he have a chance to get a qb of his choice either free agency or draft

I'm going to throw this out as food for thought, since the previous 3 HCs were rookie HCs, my gut feeling says they will hire someone with previous HC experience. Three previous failures with first time HCs seems to make me believe they will go with experience especially after what they said at the news conference.

For the last time. I am not poo pooing Joseph. I just found it very very insincere interview because of the way this organization works.
He’s been here before.
The fan base didn’t like him then.
It would come across as moving backward.
I have nothing against Joseph. He seems like a good man and a good coach.
It came across to me like a token jester, and this is important…JUST LIKE 3/4 OF OUR OTHER INTERVIEWS WILL BE. Nothing to do with color.

We are going to interview a lot of guys that they will want us to believe is our next possible head coach. They will never be our head coach for various reasons. Reasons THEY already know.
Just like bringing in Payton for an interview. He was NEVER going to come here. THEY knew it but it certainly looked good and gave us the impression how hard they were trying.

If we “ bring in” Harbaugh do you really believe we are going to do everything possible to make him our head coach? I don’t. They’ll do it for PR purposes. They know it will take 20m a year.. a figure Bidwill will NEVER pay. But it will look good. This organization has lost all my faith and trust in really serious about doing everything it takes to be a winner.

Kurt Warner agrees with you.
