I think at this point they need to buildup the supporting cast(something I thought they already did unfortunately). Oline specifically and would love to see them take the same approach to the offense as they do to the defense last year.

If they can get Mendoza without giving up next years first then maybe. I don’t know much about either him or Moore but what I saw from Mendoza against OSU was really good.

The Bears GM went out and signed a left guard , a center and a Right guard this off season. All starters. It can be done. It doesn’t have to take 4 years.

I’m for damn sure not drafting Spencer Fano at #5.
To me this is the problem. I don’t want a right tackle at 5 either and if you can’t trade down what do you do. I’m warming up to the idea of taking Love to replace Connor and then going o line in round 2. The reality might be that the best guys on the board at 5 are defense and with DRob being so so and Williams injury making him uncertain that might be to the best way to go.

I’m hiring Grant Udinski & drafting Ty Simpson.

I’m not too worried about draft position. I doubt a can’t miss qb is available this year. We are not drafting a guard with the 5th or 6th pick.
There will be a blue chip player available at 5 or 6 and I’m not taking a running back because there are some good ones available in free agency.
Take a RT in the second round even if you have to trade up to get our guy.

We would still have to sign the best guard in free agency.

Unless the Rams lose tomorrow we won’t catch Tennessee assuming we finish tied.
The teams in our division just keep winning adding to our SOS

When was the last time there were so many teams with that good of a record in one division?

There are 5 teams with 11 or more wins and 3 of them are in ours

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that game completely meaningless for our SOS compared to the Titans? Given that the Titans also played against the Rams and we played the Falcons (the Titans didn't), a Rams win would add +2 for the Rams and -1 for the Falcons defeat, so a net of +1 on our side (+1 for the Titans aswell)... a Falcons win gives us +1 for the Falcons and -2 for the Rams, so a net of -1, same for the Titans with -1.

So there is a chance of moving up or not?

If my assumption is correct the game tonight doesn't change anything. But I think there are still enough games next week, that could in theory move us up (like a Browns win against the Bengals, Patriots win against the Dolphins,...).

week 18 can have some weird stuff -- but it sure looks like #5 in the draft is far and away the most likely spot where the Cards draft

LV is #1 almost certainly -- they are showing no signs of competitive life. By putting Crosby on IR is the tell they are actively tanking. They get their pick of QB

this means, in all likelihood, the prospect of getting a QB will come down to how the Jets feel about the QB the Raiders dont pick
