They asked Rallis today about DRob. Said he is doing great and getting better. Doesn’t really focus on counting stats.

I saw DRob influence a few plays against the niners that wouldn't show up on stat sheets...basically extending and getting a hand on the runner...not enough to bring him down but enough to alter his course and slow him until the backer got there.
Not the dominance we were hoping for. But there are many ways to affect the game.
With his athleticism you gotta think improved technique will turn those hand grabs into arm grabs at some point

Different role but it's like Calvin Pace as a rookie where he kept doing the same rush move every down and never getting anywhere near the QB. He eventually figured it out but it took years. Robinson is in a different role but we don't have years to wait on him, he's playing so much now he needs to start producing

The wild card would be if his alignment just changes as the Cardinals use more even fronts. That said, it's not like there are a lot of players whose production is so strong that you would decrease his reps/growth.

I think if it is just Nolen who comes back, you just see DRob, Stills, Dalvin, CC, and Nolen all in the 45%-55% range. JJones would impact DRob more IMO>

Arians wouldn’t mince words. Hell, even with Brady when they were together in Tampa.

But he did defend his coaches to the death.

No one ever said Petzing is great. All Gannon said was :

“I thought the best game he called this year was this one,”

Which is probably true. The first two games were pretty unspectacular from an offensive standpoint.

However Gannon also said this in follow up:

“There are definitely some issues with our offense. Our run game is not efficient enough. The pass game needs to generate some more efficiency and a couple more explosive (plays). Each game is going to present different challenges by what they’re doing and their people that they have and the game flow

It's the "He is playing good right now" that burns you. Like Gannon's "Petzing called his best game vs SF" line. They are adding in things that are challenging peoples views (which are backed by some stats) which is essentially telling people they're wrong.

You can just say he is a young player who is learning, and you like the progress you are seeing.

It's a good thing he also said he has no issues with the offense and never will. Which is another example of an unnecessary, and problematic statement
