The only way they have a shot at the playoffs is by stealing this game and getting to 3-1. I was expecting them to win today and lose Thursday so they’d still be on track at 3-1. Some of you will think that’s dramatic but I’m telling you they are toast if they go 2-2 with the remaining schedule. They have to win. Right now it feels like they’ve got a 10-15% chance of making that happen. Let’s see if the coaching staff has any heart. The game should be treated as a playoff game.

Petzing is a bottom 5 OC whose golden goose left for Dallas.
Kyler is a mid QB at best.
MHJ isn't a top 5 WR in his own draft class.
39 year old CC is the best player on the defensive front.
Josh Sweat our big FA signing plays less than 60% of snaps.
Another year of our 1st round pick starting the year injured.
Heart and soul of the team is now out for the year.

Based on what? The jury is still out on Gannon, but what on earth have you seen from Monti to indicate he's safe? 3 years into the rebuild, do you consider him a top half of the league GM?

Is he wrong? We shall see. But I do not see a very potent offense and a thus far disappointing defense, now riddled with injuries and seemingly wasted early draft picks, so I cant help but fear we are indeed the worst 2-0 team.

Fair point my brother. The Cardinals fandom in me always sees the slander first and gets p.o.'d about it, THEN sees rationale.

I will never understand a GM getting a second shot at another coach after utterly failing with his first.

What successful business model works like that? Hey! We know you totally just wasted the last three or four years, but here’s more money for the chance to waste the next three or four more years! You’ve earned it!

I mean, to be fair, this is what happened with Les Snead. Went from Jeff Fisher to Sean McVay. We know the rest….


EDIT: Actually, I think I’ll take that back. Snead reportedly got hired a month after Fisher.

I'm not advocating for it. I just believe that's what will happen. It's how is usually goes for GM's. I'm not on the jury so my considerations don't matter. But for the record who in the right mind ever said he was a top half GM? Nobody ever said anything remotely close to that . Settle down Francis.
