kyler made 1 mistake that game and got away with it - had his best drive - the cards got their safety - then petzing said he didn't want anymore first downs - pretty sure that's verbatim too - kyler would have about 80 more yards in mhj drops ALONE lol - he again scrambled on 3rd downs to keep crucial drives alive - missed some throws but made more - this wasn't on kyler murray

Don't forget Demercado dropping an easy TD

Yall the Kyler debate is over. He can’t take us where we want to go.
Ya he just should have had 3 TDs today if it wasn’t for drops of routine catches… and he didn’t just put it right in the hands to Zay Jones on 3rd and 9 to seal the game (his only opportunity to seal the game bc our DF Special Petzing decided to play clock management instead of win the game)

Actually, he had a chance to seal the game when rabbit got that interception giving us the ball back, tied with 6 minutes left. He promptly crapped the bed and went 3 and out and was only in position to win the game because the D scored a safety after the offense failed again post turnover.

Yup ignore my post and try to dig out something negative. Fully convinced he’s handicapped by this play calling.. when forced to take shots it’s the only success this offense has seen. He’s looked pretty darn good when asked to throw it down field

I love this - not sure how realistic it is. He's 2 years removed from taking the league by storm and only 23 years old.
Problem is did he really take advantage before defenses caught up to him after his rookie year?

He has been more mid than good dating back to last season.

& was Stroud’s success based off of playing a last place schedule

And a weak division in general. Is stroud bad? I don’t know. That offensive line is pretty atrocious, but he definitely hasn’t matured as expected.

Their offensive line is atrocious, but he has been awful. Not passing to open WRs unless the WR is WIDE open, like Kyler, & he has been worse than Kyler to start.

I’m feeling whatever/bleh, but I would be genuinely upset if I was a Texans fan right now because that’s a championship defense they have over there going to waste.

That first play of that drive just infuriated me. I don't know if Dortch lined up wrong or not but he went in motion to the right and Kyler looked left to I think Benson and then threw right to Dortch who was 10 yards behind the LOS, it was ridiculous I almost thought it was going to be a double pass it was so far behind the LOS. Dortch got 1 yard then Kyler ran for 5 and then the batted down pass.

Been saying this for awhile now I know the short drops to get the ball out are a staple of our offense but it also means Kyler is constantly throwing the ball closer to the LOS which at his height leads to batted down passes.

With Conner out I think we're going to have to throw more and I hope they change that a bit as part of that, less short drops

I'm really not sure how anyone can think that was an ok performance and it was others that let us down. Every team has drops, nobody would be talking about them if we were up 10 as we should have been with the TOP we had.

That was the joint 4th worst YPA of Kyler's career. We have lost every game except 1 where he has throws for less than 5.5 YPA, and that was the Giants in 2020 when we ran all over them. That's an 8% win percentage. A loss is practically baked. Even under 6.5 YPA we only have a 30% chance of winning.

He has 12 games in his career with less than 5.5 YPA. He's only played 84 games. 14% of his career games are sub 5.5 YPA. Matt Stafford has 17 in a 224 game career.

The offense has one hand tied behind it's back. It must be absolutely miserable playing WR in this offense. It's the world's most frustrating cardio workout. Nobody can get hot, nobody can even get luke warm. You can go multiple quarters as a WR without a target. I don't blame the receivers, they made some bad drops today for sure, but it's hard to be on form when you see so little of the ball.

There’s more than 5 good QBs in the league, but I feel like only 5 of them actually matter.

Chances are we’ll draft one that doesn’t actually matter(again).

Who are the 5 qbs you think actually matter?
