I had to work that night and listened to this game on the radio w/WIP's Merrill Reece doing the play by play. Towards the end of the game, a blow out, Reece said jokingly something like, 'Hey can we get the Cardinals back in our division?" He wasn't saying that after the Conference championship!
He would (and still does) clown us any chance he can get. He stays calling us Woody Woodpeckers.

Might already be in here. For some reason Youtube today wanted me to watch a video titled Maybe the most versatile player ever, about ERIC Metcalf and my first thought was he was good but did you guys NOT see his dad play?

So then i found this video.

This guy is the reason I became a Cards fan all the way back in 1974-75

The most explosive Cardinal player of my lifetime. He was literally a threat to score every time he touched the ball. His only downside was his propensity to fumble. Sadly, a bad knee pretty much ended his career. His son Eric was nowhere near the player his old man was.

We’ve had some electrifying players in team history.

I really wish the organization would make well with Anquan Boldin.

He is a top 10 player in Cardinal History….in my time (since 87 years when we adopted this family), he’s my number 1.

Really wish he was still a face for the franchise…

He is. Rather the franchise thinks so or not

I was there. Sat in the upper deck with my niece who was going to college down there and a Saints fan. That game was rough especially for me being the only Cards fan in my upper deck section.
I still hold hatred in my heart for McCray. When I was in the dome on Sunday, I thought about that game.

Me also. This was my third cards game in NOLA and was thinking about the other games when the Cards lost. Glad they won this one or it would have been a long ride back to St Louis with a car full of family Saints fans

Right?! The N.O fans to a person were very cool, but this lady a few rows in front of me. Shhhhheeeez!!! I only had 1 beer at the time, but I'm glad I wasn't sauced or there might have been another Phillycard video making the rounds.

$14 for a domestic beer stopped me from drinking a lot that day. That was good because my niece is very passionate about her Saints. We civally went back and forth about some calls.

Kick her when she's down. Not your fault she didn't follow in Uncle John's footsteps... :biglaugh:

I paid $20 for a big can C. Was my only beverage so I sucked it up, but prices overall were pretty high for cocktails. To be expected.
