If anyone goes it should be Kyler. The one piece of the team that these coaches and the GM were stuck with from day one.

Man I will never forget what you wrote in the game day thread for the game against Philly in 2023. Right after K1 threw the pick six...

"Get that little bum out of there"

That was chilling BIM.

Out of all the normal guys on the board, I'm pretty sure you like K1 the least.

And it's really hard for me to understand how such a hard core fan like you could dislike any Cardinal player this much.

If he were out at the strip club every night, or not giving anything back to the community, etc I could see it. But by all accounts Murray is a decent guy.

I don't get it BIM. I mean, it's fine. It's whatever but I hold you in pretty high esteem and it bothers me that you hate my personal favorite Cardinal. lol. :)

Is there anything he could do to get back in good graces with you?

It was deplorable since the Green Bay game
Thats actually a fair retort. That was the game he injuried his hamstring IIRC. It could all be connected to the eventual knee injury.

Is it too late for him to go play baseball?

I am not a fan of tiny QBs. It's the one position where I believe it helps to be over 6 ft tall and tough as nails. I am still haunted by what I saw in our Super Bowl in Tampa. We have the lead, and I watched both Dockett and Dansby with clear shots at Big Ben just bounce off of him as he slipped away and tossed a pass 30 yards downfield to get them in scoring position.

I really wanted us to draft Lamar Jackson. A bunch of people claimed he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn and would never be a decent NFL QB. As the youngest NFL QB to ever earn 2 MVP trophies, I believe he has more than proven his doubters wrong. The guy can play.

I really like MO and Gannon and the coaches he has assembled. I like the change in our culture. I believe we are headed in the right direction. I also believe wholeheartedly that MO and Gannon wish they could have hand-picked the QB to lead this team. I do not believe they would have chosen Kyler if they were free to do their own thing.

So, if we stumble on this rebuild and let's presume play at the QB spot has something to do with it, I feel they deserve a chance with "their own guy" before either is put onto a hot seat.

Could be but probably not. No reason to think a hamstring injury would contribute to a non-contact knee injury a year later.

30 hours.
So, he didn't watch the games...
So what do we have here?? A meticulous study of the box scores? Followed by a stern perusal of the W/L column?

Or did he get really dedicated and break out the math to average some pff grades and the odd DVOA?

30 hours. To rank over half a decade of football...less than 30 minutes a game.

Hey....anyone happen to know what K9's insta is?

haha and that makes sense! :) "Haunted" is a great word for that game against the Steelers. So many regrettable plays in that one in which we were so close. So close!

And it's weird to think about what the last seven years would have been like if we had drafted Jackson.

But I agree with you about MO and the coaches, and here's to hoping everything works out for the best Brian! Hope your summer is going great, and hopefully I'll see you soon!

Can't speak for BiM..
But for me,.... I could give a damn what a guy does in his free time so long as he produces on the field when it counts.
I used to be a roughneck and my driller had a saying,..."work hard, play hard" ..followed by a story outlining how he hired the best three roughnecks he ever saw at 330am closing a bar....and i agree with the gist of it.
Even if it made me face the fact that I was in bed by 10pm every night.

As a fan of a team...I can easily see how other fans can take it personal and hate on a player that eats 20% of your cap and repeatedly fails to deliver in crucial moments.
Because due to the financial rules your just stuck with the little bastard...and other parts you manage to bring in are wasting prime years because your stuck with the little bastard, and due to the financial rules you can't just cut him and move on because the cap hit stays so you can't afford to replace him so your just stuck with the little bastard.

It's worse than your brother asking you to watch his kid for the weekend then disappearing for five years

Frustration is one of the most difficult emotions to manage.

Sure about that?
Given that the medial and lateral hamstrings have different actions at the knee joint in the coronal plane, which hamstring head is previously injured might also be expected to influence the likelihood of future ACL.

You could easily watch all the offensive snaps in those games over 30 hours. Maybe just the pass reps in even less.

An interesting perspective at least. Understandable.

Did you read the article? Because there’s no actual evidence suggesting this is the case. It’s entirely speculative.
Its called a theory. Its a science thing. Its kind of cool, until they can prove it, it's a theory. Did you know gravity is still a theory! Crazy, right?

If your a Cardinals fan you dislike anything that is a negative to the team. Whether it's a DT that can't stop the run, a corner that can't cover or a QB with too many flaws to count.

Speaking for myself, I'm a Cardinals fan and I'm a fan of any player that helps us win. Any player that contributes to us losing I want to see gone. Not sure why anyone would feel different.

a lot of things don't happen if we keep him - i love'd him too but we wern't relevant with or without him the last 2 years - monti chose to rebuild and has done well
Yet to be seen. Let’s see a winning club over multiple years before we go “done well.” We THINK he has, but it’s yet to be proven on the field.

No that makes sense man, and it's a matter of each fan's perspective.

Does one think K1 is part of the solution, or part of the problem? If it's the latter, then one wants him gone. Immediately.

On your part, I think you think (correct me if I'm wrong please) that if we can somehow maximize Murray's potential, he can help us win a superbowl. You don't view the current QB1 situation as hopeless, by any means, which I appreciate. Hope you're summer is going good Britcard. What will happen if London gets a franchise? Will you jump ship? :)

He was great with the deep ball when he had Kirk (2019, 2020) & DHop (2020, 2021). And I would put them in the “great WR” category. He was even really good throwing deep to Fitz. And even though AJ Green was washed by the end of 2021, Kyler was really good throwing deep to him for awhile. Once DHop got hurt against GB in the infamous 8th game of 2021, DHop was never the same. By 2022, DHop was suspended, AJ was thoroughly washed, Kirk & Fitz were gone, and Marquise Brown couldn’t catch a contested pass if his life depended on it. So, my point is that Kyler was successful with the deep ball when he had the WR’s to throw deep to.

Where does that leave us this year? Hard to say. Even though MHJ had a good rookie season, no one should argue the fact that the Cardinals expected more in year 1. I’m still confident that he’ll be a great NFL WR, but he underwhelmed with contested throws all last year & was the single biggest reason that we fell just short of making the playoffs. When your WR1 only comes down with 52% of the passes thrown his way, it’s tough to beat the good teams on the schedule. I expect improvement from Marvin this year & hoping it’s significant improvement. Because this team cannot get to where it wants to get without that improvement.
I would be inclined to agree with you if his receivers just weren’t coming down with contested catches or dropping deep dimes. But what we’ve seen is Kyler’s deep throws not being anywhere near the receivers often. So unless the receivers - like all of them - are incapable of somehow running deep routes, how do we blame that on the receiving group?
