90/4 years is an average annual salary of $22.5M (guessing it starts at 20M + standard 8% raises).

I don't love the number of years, but it's pretty reasonable, especially with the yearly cap increases. Again, I've been anti-Kuminga but that's been assuming something like $30M a year.

I seriously doubt the Suns have given up hope for contending, as long as there is a sliver of hope they can turn it around.

This is where trading for Kuminga comes into play, much like trading for Beal, except on a better contract and different results.

You never know in these negotiations what is true and what isn't. Kuminga's agent could be floating this to gin up the bidding. Again. I don't mind giving up Royce, Grayson, and even Oso. It's not the players, it's the contract that would represent that bothers me.

I'd probably be more against the trade if the Suns hadn't given horrible extensions to Allen and O'Neale. Now I'm kind of neutral because those contracts are bloated.

The Suns seem intent on making up for failed gambles with a good one.

Gregory doesn't seem that patient to me. It wouldn't surprise me to learn the Suns inquired about Kuminga and made an offer but I'd be disappointed to learn it was more than a take or leave it offer.

I think the Suns have already made an offer for Kuminga, but it hasn't been enough for the Warriors. That's why I'm thinking the Suns might have a backup option, which may have to wait until the trade deadline.

Too bad the Suns traded Toumani Camara, then they wouldn't be treading water. They would have their starting power forward. No wonder why former Suns GM James Jones is gone, with all the bad trades under his watch.

The Suns rookies are not ready for prime time.

suns better stand pat with whatever they offered - no need to sweeten the pot when golden state clearly doesn't want him - kings can have him if they want to both trade for and over pay him - ish better be thinking about that way too - we don't need kuminga - you only pull the trigger if the deal is too good to pass on - that doesn't appear to be the case
