Right
What? My comment was clearly about one specific championship. IMO more luck was required to put the Lakers on top that season than for most champions. And there isn't a fan base in the league that wouldn't have been thrilled to luck their way into that title
Right. That year was different. And it's a Suns fans patriotic responsibility to diss on the Lakers whenever possible.

Fake ship. Make Lakers fans angry.

If you're a sf, expect to move and run.

I believe Mikal Bridges still has the longest streak of consecutive games played by any current NBA player.

Surprised to see Klay on that list guards especially 3 point shooters run less because they run 3 point line to 3 point line. Curry doesn't surprise me because he has missed games most seasons with the ankle or some other injury, if he played a full year I could see him in there because he runs so much without the ball, but Klay didn't move as much without the ball as Steph did in his prime IMO.

Actually I’d think klay did more running for two reasons:

1. Kerr ran a movement based offense. Everyone was constantly in motion. Just because klay wasn’t running to get open doesn’t mean he wasn’t also moving the entire possession.

2. Klay always had the more difficult offensive assignment. Movement occurs on both ends of the floor.

Agree on 2, just not agree on 1.Klay moved alot yes but not as much as Steph does. Remember the story when they first beat Cleveland the Cavs players said Steph literally nearly killed Dellavadova because he had to guard Steph that whole series running around screens and he was physically exhausted needing IV's after most of the games.

I would guess the difference is games played although I do agree Klay played more defense, in his prime he was an elite defender.

It definitely surprised me as well. In my mind, I keep seeing Klay take those three point shots.

He had that one game where he made a record amount of threes with only dribbling the ball a few times.

The CBA is working. Salaries for the players in the middle appears much tighter.

I don't think the players union will be quick to approve the next CBA in what is looking more and more like a hard cap.

I'd be surprised if there are drastic changes. Now that teams seem to be adjusted to the new CBA it appears to have leveled the playing field.

It would be nice if they somehow found a way to counteract injuries so teams aren't quick to throw in the towel on a season when a star goes down. See Boston and Indianapolis. The league allowing a way for salaries like Tatum's to not count against the luxury tax would alleviate financial burdens so teams don't have to tear things down. If a player suffers an injury where they miss an entire year then reducing the cap figure that year would help. Even reducing the salary so it only counts 50% towards the tax, making no chance towards the actual salary cap itself, would be nice. A team like the Pacers could have kept Myles Turner because they wouldn't be paying the tax next year while Halliburton recovers.

Stars deserve more than role players and we have seen fewer big money deals go to role players while money is still being given to All-Star type guys. The gap between them is larger but ultimately All-Star's are the ones selling tickets.

A better way to get rid of bad contracts like Beal and Lillard would also help. There are some stars out there that are no longer worth large contracts but are still getting paid.

It affects the whole pay scale as it trickles down. This needs to be corrected.

I am surprised they didn't get an amnesty provision like teams got back in the 00's and early 10's. With a more restrictive tax it would have been beneficial to teams.

This is exactly what the waive and stretch provision is for. What else do you think they should do?

Teams need to have more options for a bad contract or injury. Maybe a longer period to stretch contracts or an appeal process. I don't think the Suns new owner fully understood the CBA rules.

This is why I think the CBA needs to be revisited when it comes up for renewal. A progressive tax on salary might have enough without the penalties.
