Cardinals have their first player in the top 100 of 2025. At #95 Josh Sweat finally cracks the list for the first time in his career.

#95

Josh Sweat
Arizona Cardinals · OLB
2024 stats: 16 games | 41 tackles | 9 tfl | 8 sacks

Sweat might have made the list on his Super Bowl performance alone. He was the most damaging of Philadelphia’s game-wrecking pass rushers, leading the defense with six quarterback pressures and 2.5 sacks as the Eagles thwarted the Chiefs’ three-peat dreams. He then cashed in this offseason with the Cardinals. If history serves, Sweat should excel for a largely remade front seven -- he is reuniting with former defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, under whom he had 18.5 sacks and a Pro Bowl appearance from 2021-22.

NFL Pro Insight for Sweat: Josh Sweat led the Eagles with 8.0 sacks and was second on the team with 15 QB hits in 2024. Sweat is one of six edge rushers with four-plus sacks and 10-plus QB hits each of the last six seasons (Maxx Crosby, Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, Brian Burns, Montez Sweat).

I might be wrong tho. Kelce was #9 and Kittle was #14 last year. They also were both in the Super Bowl.

Kittle, Bowers and McBride were tops in the league at TE last year. They all had over 1100 yards receiving in 2024. Kelce had his second season with only 800 yards.

Curious to see if Kelce is still viewed as the cream of the crop at TE by his peers now that he has been leapfrogged statistically by other players over the last couple of years.

I personally think Kittle is voted as the top TE this year. Then I think Bowers, McBride and possibly Kelce based off his pedigree might be the other TEs on the list.

Budda coming in at #34!

34

Budda Baker
Arizona Cardinals · S
2024 stats: 17 games | 164 tackles | 10 tfl | 2 sacks | 5 PD | 1 FF

It’s been six seasons since Baker failed to make a Pro Bowl. He’s missed only one in his career, and in 2024 again proved himself as one of the finest tackling machines in the NFL. The safety wasn’t solely making stops at the second level, either -- his 10 tackles for loss marked a new career high, and PFF credited him with another eight for no gain. Just as he was last season, Baker has long been the straw that stirs the drink for Arizona’s defense, a swiftly improving unit after a few years on the rocks.

NFL Pro Insight for Baker: Budda Baker's 164 tackles in 2024 were the most by a safety since Victor Green's 165 with the Jets in 1996. Baker's production earned him his seventh career Pro Bowl selection, the most by any safety through their age-28 season all time.

Look - Budda is a good player, but to try and make the argument he's some sort of elite weapon is absurd. He's not great in coverage and doesn't make big plays.

Arguably the most overrated Cardinal ever.

Obviously his peers disagree with you. He’s a unique talent and player in the NFL. I have no doubt that other coaches in the League use him as teaching tape for how secondary players should defend the run.

Good for him. I see no reason to get twitterpated over this most transient honor.

I think NFL.com made a mistake dragging this list out. Post them in batches of 5 or 10. This list has no juice this year.

Cool. I don't think anyone here thinks he's a top 35 player in the league. (You yourself had him in the 70's!). Players can and have been overrated by their peers.

Do you think anyone has teaching tape on him defending the pass?

Who is getting twitterpated?
