Maybe we don’t run 4 Wr sets because we don’t have 4 good receivers.
No, Petzing loves those two and even three TE sets. McBride, Reiman and Higgins were probably on the field more than Jones and Dortch were together. Again,.just my perception but you know it's true.

Petzing works with what he’s got. If we would have traded for Devonte Adams, Deebo or let’s say Higgins, do you think that might change what he
“ likes”?

Why are people complaining or praising this at all?
He’s a depth roster guy who will have minimal impact at all this year.
Because knowing the Cardinals, it probably means they’re now content with their WR room, which still looks pretty weak.

No, I don't. It would just bump the other guys down. I don't think he changes his philosophy one but. JMO. Stupid to argue about it because it's impossible to know.

I like bringing Jones back. His production would have been significantly better had the NFL not suspended him for something he was exonerated from. Makes no damn sense. Not only did he miss 5 games, he missed 5 weeks of practices & meetings during that suspension. That missed time put him significantly behind when it came to knowing this offense & having any kind of rapport with Murray. MOJG loved that signing last year, so I’ll take their word that they wanted him back.

Zay's snaps (257) and Dortch (432) = 689
Tip's snaps (450) and Higgins (410) = 860

Yep.

I don’t think it’s Petzings philosophy to zero in on one receiver.. I’ve seen many clips of wide open receivers begging for the ball to never even get looked at. Seemed like Wilson was the victim of that a bunch last season.

I don't think it is his philosophy either. I am talking about who he puts on the field.

Well, you have MHJ and Mcbride that K1 is throwing to. It doesn't matter who is #3, 4 or 5. K1 doesn't use his progressions anyway.
Yeah, no reason at all to get better, and it's smart to double the wages of a nobody player, eh? By that rationale, just sign some UDFA for the league minimum rather than Zay Freaking Jones.

Dear lord, if this signing moves the needle for you, I don't know what to say. You are Monti's BFF for sure.

Dear lord, are you really so insecure that you have to write like this when other people have a different opinion than yours?

Suggests to me Dortch won't be back and Zay Jones will take the WR3 spot.

I think he’ll be back as gadget WR and returner

I hope not, I really don't like him in a gadget role. He's not quick enough. We can do better.

Bring in Olamide Zaccheaus. He was 6th in punt returns last year, Dortch was 13th, and OZ also had 500 yards as a receiver. He's a handy WR3/4. Or Mecole Hardman would be another upgrade.

Add a useful WR is a tough challenge. The draft will require a scouting triumph to get a receiver fast enough to spread the field. The only option I see is Elijah Moore in free agency. He has never played to his ability but definitely has the speed to spread the field. He’s been decent at getting open and has reliable hands. I think he’s been poorly used and has potential.

Me, insecure? I come here to comment on the Cards. When I see sycophancy, I note it. I saw it, and noted it. Simple as.

Yeah, a big reason to not just re-sign him, but also to double his salary. Man, the Cards are just awful.
Tells you all you need to know about this franchise. We are celebrating a Wr that was on the roster and contributed 1 nice play, an LB who couldn’t start on the Bengals and a BACKUP Qb.
But hey, it’s early.
