Which proves to me that the stats are a load of crapola. Ertz was far more important to this victory than Eno for example... nerd ball can give a direction but not the destination

To be fair, that's not what PFF grades are supposed to show. They're just supposed to show what each player did with the opportunities they were given.

I don't believe in the grading system, so I don't put any stock in these, but if you're going to criticize them you might as well understand what they're supposed to tell you.

What is the number in parens supposed to show, though?

So when you leave players like Rodney Hudson and others off the list, you can say Kyler was 3rd worst. He's consistently been a top 3 grade on offense this season but those don't count for him, only the negatives do.

I'd like to give an honorable mention to DJ Humphries for what he's done so far this season. Zero sacks allowed in 2022, and just three penalties.
3 penalties would average out to about 13 for the year and that would be near the top of the league.

On saying that since game 1 this defense is giving up 18 points a game on average.
This defense submarined our chances early the first 3 games. That they then bailed us out in the 2nd half of the Raiders game was just evening things out. I loved our defense yesterday, but let's not get carried away. We have had one good complete game on defense, and it's against one of, if not the, worst offenses in the league.

So Kyler had a QB rating of nearly 100 but was a bigger "goat" than Rodney Hudson, who airmailed a snap on 4th down, had a key holding penalty and was generally abused by Derrick Brown? Seems objective.
Kyler did throw a screen pass to Luvu for a pick-6.

Well, the entire premise of the heroes/goats thing is K9's opinion, so of course it will be objective.

I agree, I'm sick of Kyler hucking it downfield on 3rd and short. Its his favorite thing to do and Im not sure why. Take the easy short routes!

Odd take on the commercials and soccer vs NLF. How can you complain about a 3 hour viewing session on gameday when your time here weekly probably exceeds the game time itself?
Don't think that Kyler calls the plays.

But he can audible. He literally said last week that he can pretty much do what he wants.

That's why it's tough to definitively say "that play sucked, that was Kliff's fault," because we don't know if the play was Kliff or Kyler.
He can also throw to 3-5 different receivers on each play.

He doesn't have to yeet it down the sideline 60% of the time.

What about the defensive grades?

What about the defensive grades?

The defense played well and the Pro Football Focus grades reflected that for many. The eyes said Allen had a great game and so did his grade (82.2), followed by Murphy (73.5), linebacker Dennis Gardeck (71.1), Golden (68.0), inside linebacker Ben Niemann (67.5), Collins (66.8), Watt (65.8) and Thompson (65.2).

Hernandez has been a nice addition, he and Humphries are the best offensive linemen so far, Hudson is good but the snapping is terrible
