Has there been a time when this strategy worked out for the Cards tho? Drafted Nkeimdiche as a hedge against losing Calais and we still hoping Calais comes back.

Plan works in theory as long as the guy on the come-up… you know… comes up.
Rondale has more talent than Kirk. I would bet he has a great year 2.

Rondale Moore's physical ability far exceeds Kirk's. He's faster, quicker, and stronger. I also think his hands are better. The only question is his route running, since the Cardinals rarely had him running any routes.
You make him sound like he's the Bionic Receiver. lol

Good for Christian.

He got 50mil more than I would have paid. I like seeing young guys get rewarded for putting in the work..... but then I hate seeing older guys try to fleece a team because their ego says they gotta get a bigger check than every one else...

It's a balance

Producing like a #1 is different from being a #1.

Being a #1 means you are drawing double teams constantly and freeing up your teammates while still putting up big numbers.

Agreed but if he’s producing like a number one he’s going to get coverage of the number one it’s an evitable

If he produces like a #1, when his trigger comes up before 2024 (cuz this is basically a 2 year deal), he can most likely be a FA again.

Not really. You could argue Byron Murphy after Peterson. Humphries with Veldheer. To be fair not a ton of examples. I would say that Moore at least played meaningful snaps prior to them making the move which is a nice change.
