Sobering thought: In 2017 the Rams selected Cooper Kupp in the 3rd round. We selected Chad Williams.

Sorry, but you can play the "should have"game all the time for every team every year.

Nahhh every team… this kind of hindsight is silly..
I think if you do it in every round for every receiver keim has taken you build a portfolio of ineptitude for keim. So in a vacuum, yeah who cares? As a resume? Blech. It shows keim want a player at a position with that draft pick and either picked wrong or wasn’t opportunistic enough to get what he needed. I have less frustration when the good player was selected before Keim’s pick, but nonetheless it shows poor strategy on the part of keim.

But he was in love with small school prospects, especially wr, kupp was from eastern Washington, so he should have been a target for them
I always thought that BA like more big school players and it was sk who was more into the small school guys and would draft them in the later rounds.

I have issues with Keim’s drafts as much as anyone but this is a bit unfair. Cupp was taken at 69 and Williams at 98. In fact we had moved up from 45 to 36 in round 2 to take Budda Baker. All things considered I have no issues with the move. We really had no shot at Cupp.

As a side note the Seahawks took Malik McDowell the pick ahead of baker. He wrecked himself on an ATV and has never been the same. He was recently arrested in FL assaulting cops while being completely naked.

They selected him with the 69th pick…well before Cards had shot at him in theirs round.

It would be less painful if Keim had his fair share of these stories in reverse.

Jalen Thompson was a 5th round supplemental draft pick I believe. That is pretty close to winning the lottery, that's true. But that's the only example I can think of for SK.
