After the awful fumble that contributed mightily to the loss on Thursday, I think it’s imperative we get this kid’s mojo back. He’s a game changer against any team in the NFL, and we need to get his confidence levels up this week.

I think he just got caught up in his first prime time game trying to be a hero and made a ton of bad decisions.

A couple of screens early may get that pass rush off of whoever the QB ends up being Sunday.

He also caused that interception too.

Rondale hasn't played that well in weeks.

He deserves blame. However, there were other factors. Packers got to Kyler so quickly because Josh Jones barely touched the guy he was blocking. It also seemed like Pugh got up field too late which made it difficult for Rondale to get into the spot he was supposed be at. And Kyler probably could have thrown a better pass.

The issue with Rondale is that they've kept his role limited. You almost wish Kirk was a better YAC guy so they wouldnt be so predictable with these screen passes. I'd like to see him get a few downfield targets.

The gameplan seemed like they wanted to show off their new toy in primetime and it backfired.

After looking at the pics that were posted here.

I think Jones let his man go too quickly which forced Kyler to throw the ball too soon. I think Pugh to be honest was just a fluky thing he can't go upfield too early or it's a penalty ineligible player downfield, he has to time it to avoid the penalty. But he clearly made Rondale go around him which is why Rondale wasn't quite there. the throw was high but it was also a bit away from Rondale because he was late to the spot.

Too bad if you look at that picture it's really well blocked could have been a big play. IMO the main fault was Jones let his guy go too quickly, and Kyler's throw was too high

Kliff wants Moore to be his Deebo. He needs to use him like it.

He can't just use him for screens and sweeps. You have to use him downfield too.
To be fair, Rondale is being similarly used like Deebo was his first two years. Wasn’t until this year that Deebo is being used as a downfield threat consistently.

He strikes me as a gadget player who’s talented enough to make the occasional spectacular play (sideline grab vs SF). I said before the draft if he’s Percy Harvin with his head screwed on correctly he’d be a perfect fit in this offense. I think all our guys get exposed a bit if D-Hop isn’t out there.

True. I think the big difference in that the Niners have skill players that can block.

So many of the plays designed for Moore are poorly blocked.

He needs to get his head screwed on right, get over his horrific mistakes, and maybe get some safe, easy plays under his belt early to work on confidence. Until then, I don't want the team to try to make him any kind of centerpiece.

The last game he truly made a difference in was against the Niners. Let's hope he can do it again. With Garoppolo back, we will definitely need to score more than 17 points to win on Sunday. Murray's legs will be useless to us, so the rest of the offense will need to step it up for us to even have a chance.

Look for the Niners to run the ball down our throats for 60 minutes. We will have a close encounter with Elijah Mitchell this week.

I think if Rodney Hudson didn't get hurt so early against them last time that we would've scored more than 17. Kyler was under a lot more pressure when Hudson went out.

He seems to be our go to choice for the "exotic plays" - trying to utilise his evasion and speed. Prepared to use him laterally and back him to step around a couple of players.

That's fine but I hope we don't pigeon hole him in this way though. Needs to get some bread and butter WR usage as well. That sideline catch was exceptional.

Isn’t he hurt?

He has a rib injury. They think he'll play. Jeff Wilson is supposed to be back at practice but he's been out so long they're not sure if he's able to play yet.
