Lol. Well, that’s one way to look at it.

normally I’d be cliff jumping on Alford but I do remember reports from both camps he was out performing the CB group. I know I remember thinking if Alford is shining what about Pat? Just thought they were just blowing wind about acquiring him. I’m not expecting much but I have hope for a good outcome.

If he's healthy and hasn't lost a step he's better than Dre Kirkpatrick.

The problem is we can't bank on either of those things so Keim should be looking at Alford as a good rotation piece and backup with CB2 upside if he stays healthy. If he's banking on Alford being CB2 we're screwed.

If he is not cb2 or cb3, what the reason to keep him, doesn't play special teams too

I'm afraid they are considering him the cb2
