Cardinals should be 9-4 at worst right now. Poor coaching decisions have not helped. I am all for letting someone learn on the job, but they have to show actual progress.

Maybe Game 29 was the lightbulb moment. I hope so.

Agreed but most people who hear about the Hail Murray didn't watch the full game. We led from the end of 3rd QTR to 34 seconds left in 4th QTR with chances to put the game away.

The fact is...we are #1 in Redzone TD success. Period.
We are a top 10 scoring offense in the NFL. Period

Compared to 2018 or 2019 - light years ahead with basically two major changes to weapons (K1 and Dhop). We need better talent to get to the next level.

After yesterday’s game we’re now 9th in PPG at 27.5 PPG. The last 3 games we’ve scored an average of 23.7.

We’re now 7th in red zone scoring at 68.75% with the last 3 games being 53.85%.

We’re 4th in yards/game at 389.5 YPG with the last 3 games being at 306.7 YPG.

Reading this board, you wouldn't know we are a top 10 scoring offense. Lots of really good teams with better talent than us.

They are, but scoring TDs in the red zone is better than kicking FGs, which is why I used that stat. The frustration is the last 3 games, which is why I posted those in comparison. I’m not saying our offense is bad, it just seems broken right now and needs to get right again.

We need better talent on offense for sure. Drake is not the answer and we need a legit #2 WR.

This doesn't absolve the fact that the offense is still not functioning adequately TC, stats be damned. They look like a car with 4 different sized tires, and the red zone offense? Cringeworthy. Kyler made an amazing play for the TD, but I had to refresh my drink each time they got in scoring range.

I will jump in here.

We have already seen what happens when we don't take advantage. See Dolphins and Patriots. In fact, Kirk blew it at the end of the first half vs Patriots (dropped TD) and not selling out on first drive yesterday. That was an excellent play call and he didn't try hard enough (see Irv Smith and Justin Jefferson from yesterday).

Going up 17-3 vs the Patriots with the ball in the 2nd half was the plan...just like yesterday. Players didn't execute for the most part (the OL shouldn't get blown off the ball on the goal line...what 3-4 times in two games?). I do hate the play action pass play on 4th down vs Giants, especially with Nuk not on the field/not throwing to him.

Keep in mind...teams/coaches need to learn how to take advantage and learn how to win.

We are a couple of kicks from Zane and/or a couple of plays from Kirk from being a 10-11 win team this year. I would say that is progress.

If we had a decent defense...we would all be talking about more than just making the playoffs.

The first drive was classic bad KK. Run, run, run, stupid risk, 0 points. Yes, Kirk needs to show the effort on the one play. Yes, we need to learn our lesson and get the points at some point--ESPECIALLY in a moment when not getting any points completely and totally nullifies the momentum we just grabbed. Thankfully we were playing the Giants. Run, run, run, splat. NOT a good start.

It was a good play on 1st down. 2nd down again, should have scored. But what prompted the thread was the decision to go for it on 4th and then to compound it with a play call that had a very low probability of success.

No no no. Take the shot, even if you don't get it, you pin them back. Think of the times we made a couple goal line stands. We weren't able to get out and had to punt almost every time. (I think one time we got 1 first down) You still have great field position.

The team's red zone offense has been stellar most of the year. It wasn't good last week or the week before. It is disingenuous to say that it is cringeworthy. We aren't the Broncos.

No we didn't. We were handed 14 points and only got 6 and couldn't step on their throats when they sucked hard core in the 1st half.

I do not accept this because those 'handed' turnovers where caused by guys in Cardinal red. Turnovers are part of the game and we caused those turnovers... hence, we earned and therefore deserve the score which blew them out

Sure, we ENDED UP dominating them. THEM. If we don't take advantage of mistakes GOOD teams make, we will absolutely rue the missed chances. I'm happy with the win; I'm unhappy with the 1st-half coaching, especially the first "drive." Anyone defending the play calling there has to make you wonder.

eh... I’ve been pretty vocal about Kliff’s play calling and game management but I was fine going for it at the beginning of the game. Felt like a moment where you had to give the team a chance to come back from that NE goal line stand. But... they failed. I can’t blame him for needing to see if he’s really got the guys up front needed to get a tough yard when it matters most.

We’ve now seen that... we don’t. If he goes for it again early in a game when we can take the points, criticism is fair game.

It was what he has done over and over again in those situations. It's absolutely worth criticism because it isn't successful for a reason.

Then he changed it all in the second half, which is fantastic.

All of this can be true:

We dominated the game
Kliff coached a poor half
Murray was dynamic
Murray was inaccurate
We are top in the red zone for the year
We sucked in the red zone this game

It doesn't conflict. People are just latching on the part that fits the narrative they want
