True, but still a relatively inexperienced backup that completely torched us. He has been decent since that game, but not nearly as good as he was against us.

In open portion of practice didn't see LB Terrell Suggs. Could be rest day or back acting up. Also didn't see RB D.J. Foster (hamstring).

David Johnson was working on ankle-strengthening exercises with a trainer off the side at the start of the open portion of practice. He was then running routes with the receivers during positional drills.

Kingsbury said RB David Johnson (ankle) is a game day decision. Added that if Cardinals had to play Friday, Johnson would not have played.

Multiple reports on twiiter stating Kirk is also a game time decision.

It is ultimately up to trainers and coaching staff, but Kirk is lobbying to play: "My leg could be cut off and I’m going to say I’m ready."

Johnson said he injured his ankle on a rushing attempt against the Falcons but that he's "feeling good" as Sunday approaches.

With D.J. Foster already ruled out of Sunday's game against the Giants with a hamstring injury, if David Johnson can't play leaving Chase Edmonds as the only RB, coach Kliff Kingsbury said he has an "emergency plan."

"We can handle that," he said. "Obviously, it's not ideal."
