it was going to be a long season. I told my wife ( who couldn’t care less) we’d be lucky to win 2 or 3 games.

For whatever reason I don’t feel that way...yet. To go 8-8 would be astounding. For that to happen things will have to break right for our beloved Big Red and we will have to stay healthy for a change.

We will see but it certainly appears we will be way more entertaining.

If we kept Rosen, took QW, had the same draft otherwise, and had a coach with solid NFL experience, I’d feel much better about getting back to .500. I’m not saying this roster won’t succeed, but I’m not sure we will see a huge leap in production this year... Vegas has us at #31 to most likely make the playoffs, which I think is closer to what will be our reality this year. Of course I hope I’m wrong, but LV normally isn’t.

Man, watching the coaching staff looking puzzled in almost every game made me think this season is shot to hell. Wilks made no halftime adjustments and you could just see from his expressions he had no clue how to be a head coach. Also McCoy, when he got hired he said I will work to the strengths of the players. Wtf happened? We looked like garbage.

I’m more concerned how the teams playing towards the end of the year than I am at the beginning. Six wins would be a decent year with all the changes.

A lot of fell for it.

Wilks didnt come off as incompetent. McCoy has had moments of success. Arians got 8 wins out of an arguably worse roster.

I think it was just a perfect storm of lack of talent on offense, poor coaching and schemes that didn't fit the personnel on both sides of the ball. When you have all of those things the results will be very bad, but you can maybe get away with some of the other two if you have enough talent.

You nailed it.

The problem - No answers.

When a team plays badly, I can be patient if everyone on board is trying to make course corrections that will make them play better.

But when the coaches and players look hangdog and clueless on the sideline, I can't wait for mgt. to blow the whole deal up.

Well, that's what they did. Now let's pull off the wrapping paper and see what we've got.

It's going to be an improved offense which will make the Cards much more exciting to watch. We will have more wins than last you but the last four games are brutal. IMO if things fall into place (draft and free agents) we can compete for the playoffs in 2020 as there is parity in the NFL. Nothing can be as bad as last season.
