Jackson may want to go to a particular team. It happens. This may be a way of controlling where he goes.

He showed scouts he can work under C, the analysts were impressed by him actually using a C. He looked good but he was just being dogged by one of the analysts, the name escapes me.

Bleacher report-Sean Payton 3-27-18
USA today 3-3-18
Billswire 3-3-18
Courier-Journal 3-3-18
Bleacher report 3-18

Thanks for posting the links---they did not work though as links.

I was hoping you had some team reports from the combine or maybe even the pro-day. Positive comments from the combine would have been about LJ's ability to dissect plays, understand coverage, change the play call, etc.

http://www.sportsonearth.com/articl...ng-combine-player-interview-behind-the-scenes

I did look up what I think is the Payton reference and the USA today reference. Didn't see anything past 'coach-speak.' He commented that LJ is a leader and has a nice smile.

The USA Today article author praised both Rosen and LJ for their honesty. LJ for stating that he considers himself a QB. Nothing in the article that says it was the Bills FO.

https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018...mbine-buffalo-bills-josh-rosen-lamar-jackson/

Beane of the Bills commented: “I still think he’s going to get a chance to prove that he can play quarterback,” Beane said. “I think he’s earned that right. He won the Heisman doing that. I think he’s going to get every chance to prove that before he ever looks at a position change.”

https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018...mbine-buffalo-bills-josh-rosen-lamar-jackson/

Note Beane is talking about LJ getting a chance at QB but also mentions a position change. . . I read that as a backhand compliment (Gee, you don't sweat much for a fat girl/guy.)

Here's a more positive take on LJ though from the sport writer's perspective (not a team report):

https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/03/02/nfl-combine-2018-lamar-jackson-saquon-barkley-baker-mayfield

Wonder if he got this question:

I think it was the Cardinals coach who started off by asking me, “What color is chocolate?” “Brown.” And then he was like, “What color is melted chocolate,” and I think I said dark brown, and he said, “No, don’t overthink it.’”So I said brown. Then he said, “What color is butter?” then, “What color is melted butter?” “Yellow.” “What color is snow?” “White.” “What color is melted snow?” I said, “White.” And then he said, “Nope, melted snow is clear, so what does that make snow?” I was like, “Clear,” he said, “Yep,” and that was kind of the ice-breaker.

Turn off the sound and just watch the throws (like when Chucky was calling the games). Then you can make your own judgement apart from the talking heads.

I think Michael Vick mentioned that Jackson knew what he needed to work on to get prepared for the NFL and it looks like he has really been putting in the time and work to prove he can play QB in the NFL.

I don't think he ran today because they did that first off this morning. He didn't want to take a chance of pulling something and then he wouldn't be able to throw, or at least throw to his best ability. IMO

He looked pretty beefed up today to me. I think he's been working out for sure, he doesn't look fragile in shorts that's for sure. So some say he may hard to meet with, but maybe it's because he's putting in the work in the gym and such. If he is there at 15 I hope we draft him, I think he'll be as good as Watson.

Per Walterfootball here are the Wonderlic scores of the tops qbs:
Josh Allen 37
Josh Rosen 29
Sam Donald 28
Baker Mayfield 25
Lamar Jackson 13

Doesn't show any others.

All this shows is that he doesn't have an established agent. Established agents/agencies do EVERYTHING in their power to promote their players and they prepare them for every part of the combine (taking practice wonderlic tests, rehearsal meetings, etc).

Interesting to hear Lamar Jackson give a sample play call from Louisville.. “Gun Right Doubles 80”

Not a lot of verbiage. Some NFL play calls can have 12-15 words w/various tags, etc..

Different level of communication COULD be required at next level..

I heard that was upgraded from "Throw ball #80" So they definitely got some extra words worked in as he got more comfortable.

Where and when he is doing this work?

Did you bother to see what mayock had to say about Jackson at his Pro Day and what he said people said about having to play against Jackson?

Lamar Jackson will go in the first round of the draft. I think there may be some teams that would move just in front of the Cards, like trading for the Packers pick #14, to get him. Cards lost out last year on Watson & Mahomes by sitting.

People are just so damned desperate to rip Jackson and look for any perceived fault or flaw.So now Talkinghead Mayock says Jackson is difficult to see and meet.

I honestly don’t have any problem finding multiple flaws in his game, and I highly doubt that anyone that scouts these prospects for a living has either. I have him ranked in 3B.

Michael Vick firmly said "he is better then he was coming out of college"
It's probably because Vick never practiced hard, early on...he even admitted that he just relied on his skills, but never tried to really develop them until playing for Reid with his 2nd Chance.

Or it shows that he is really just not
that intelligent
